...all things considered, I thought it went pretty well.

We got a full extraction, 26 minutes vs. Cerberus on Glacier.

And I somehow managed to not finish last despite lagging so hard that the screen would jump after ever four steps I took. 




Second Platinum match didn't go so well.

Wiped on wave 5, Collectors on Goddess.

Not sure if it was because of my connection (I was hosting cuz the previous host left after we won the match)
... Or if my teammates were just terrible. (As in "let's all huddle together and get wiped by a single buttlazor!" terrible)

I actually had to finish waves 3 and 4 by myself... which is a pretty bad sign, considering it was only my second time playing Platinum.

Spent a lot of time face down. I assumed that, because I was decent with my Turian Sentinel w/ Mattock X on Silver, and not too shabby when box farming, I'd be ok.

I guess after about wave 5 the Vorcha and Geth figured out I was WAY out of my league...

First platinum match? Played platinum with friends the same day it was released. It was kinda fun to say the least.

Haven't really played Plat PUG since, other than Loadestar which went surprisingly well.

Glacier, room of shame, had NFI what I was doing (had stopped playing ME before that), ended on wave 4 I think.

I remember being accidentally thrown into a Platinum game when I didn't change my search filter from "any" difficulty. It was the first game I'd ever played period. I'm sure my brains are still splattered on the wall on Firebase White.

As for my first Platinum where I'll actually kill something, or play it by choice even? TBD. Need moar skills first.

friend and i decided to duo plat for ****s and giggles (this was before i started playing gold with any regularity). we lasted slightly into wave 2, having used all our missiles, ops packs and medi-gel by that point. good times.

First was when the level first became available, a bunch of us had a lot of gold games under our belt, read on the forums a bit to see what we were getting into, ended up being Reepers on Glacier, they took us out in Wave 6 I believe. Then a friend of a friend had this glacier farming plan, slash throu the walls of the control room, I went along but quit on wave 3 I believe, that is not my thing.

This past December I decided to make it a personal goal to extract all maps on platinum, did a shout out here, Megabeast was one of the many that offered to help, it was a perfect experience, today we run all maps, whatever enemy. Geth/London I avoid, in fact I try to avoid London all together on platinum:) We extract 97%+ of the time, have since taken at least 100 players through this level, still prefer to hang out in gold

1st plat?
FB White (back when farming was chic), Geth.
Tried it a week after they came up with platinium difficulty. Saw 2 primes stroll into the control room on wave 1, exclaimed WTF!!?? threw the controller at the TV, went fetal position.
It all took about 4 and a half minutes.

My first platinum match was like doing a duo run.
Me and a random guy (pug) had to finish the match by ourselves because others kept leaving-joining-leaving.
Total of about 5 people left our game right after they died, so us two basically finished 11 waves by ourselves.

Map was Firebase Ghost, and I think the enemy was Reapers.
I don't remember his PSN, but he was very good.
(I was still playing on ps3 at that time)

FBW Reapers with a friend. I'd just moved to gold about 2 weeks prior to that. It ended up being a 39 minute "duo".

That's when I knew I was ready for anything.

Edit - That was technically my second. I was still a bronze noob and didn't realise the host had switched to plat. It ended up being FBW Cerberus. I think we wiped in under a minute.

Went well.  Giant, Reapers I think. Extracted. I had three Platinum vets carry me along with me. They killed everything and I just ran around trying not to get in their way.

my first platinum match? i was thrown into wave three where there was no HUD, a guy with infinite rockets and all three factions mixed together. i was like WTF?

So it went pretty smoothly
My first gold match was a lot more hairy because I wasn't as used to the game back then

My first Platinum Match was a success...Sadly due to a Cheater...
He didnt use Missiles or aimbot, but just over 40 Medigels..

Wipe on Wave 8. I was lagging, my team were all even n00bier than I was, and we just couldn't handle White. My next game, though, was with a bunch of power-users, in Glacier, while I was a Geth Trooper. It went pretty smoothly, with ridiculous amounts of explosions everywhere!
