Sorry about that match man. It was a very bad one for me. I'm having bad issues whenever I host, and since I only play the Fury on host, I'm having some troubles playing her. Weird stuff happens, and makes me rage. Stuff like ops packs going off after I die, on host! Brutes not hitting me and me taking damage and stagger... Damn, that stuff makes me rage hard. You might have seen some missiles wasted, as well as gels :innocent:

Gave it another try later and Autobahnsomething joined my game. I think he's from here as well. Same story, raged hard thanks to all the bs I got. Sorry to you as well 

Edit: forgot to say, Garry, that you guys did good. Always helped with objectives, used consumables, killed stuff. It's hard to find pugs like that nowadays. Good game from your side. It was the host who was scrubbing :innocent:

also..."Glacier enflammé" what the hell does it mean? Glacier inflamed? wtf? And I thought italian translation sucked...

French Translation sucks at some points, but here it's not. We can't say "Base Enflammée Glacier" ou "Base en Feu Glacier", it would sound terrible. There's no actual translation for "Firebase" in French, so "Enflammé" (as in "burning and being attacked") is the most accurate.

Ran into my first BSN'er on PC. Dropped in on Air Quotes on wave 4 or 5. Sorry for my scrubiness, I can get by pretty well on a 4 man team with my Predator X wielding GI, duo not so much...lol. Good game though, hopefully I will bump into you again when I have some decent equipment. (edit: and more than 2 medi-gel capacity)

Was considering leaving a lobby when Shamurai One joined, was fairly sure he was a BSNer.

We got cerberus London. Match went ok, shamurai is solid player, one of the pugs did seem to die a LOT. Wave 9, i suddenly realised i was the last player, didnt take any chances with phantom - instant rocket - and then veeeerrry carefully whittled down the last atlas. Unfortunately wave ten i glitched out and couldnt fire rockets to clear out our hack, we all got mowed down, and Shamurai glitched into a phantom for a wave ten wipe.

Next lobby, i accidentally left when kaxas92 joined, so i missed out on playing with him

I'm French but my game's in English. When I play with other Frenchies I don't understand any enemy, map, gun, class name they say. Even when trying to translate it to English, it doesn't make sense xD And you can't say Glacier Enflammé is a good translation, sorry. First time I heard it, I almost choked laughing.

No worries, you didn't miss out on anything good. Met rustybuckets sometime later, but that was a pretty bad game on my part.

Was the lobby preset to cerberus, because I might have replaced you and joined Kaxas instead!

Good game with him Indra-ing everything to death, but I made a critical error on wave 10. Instead of going towards the second retrieve objective, I went to the landing zone to revive one of the pugs. I got him up but promptly got downed by a phantom. The pug, being a kindly soul, repayed the favour by buggering off. by the time I realised no help was coming and gelled an atlas and a couple more phantoms had turned up, and I wasted the rest of my gel and a missile in a futile attempt to get away. Meanwhile, kaxas had been left unsupported with the pizza, and took a phantom sword in the kidneys for his troubles.

The last man (the pug I'd died saving typically) did manage to get the second objective, but didn't clear the wave so no extraction. Morale of the story, don't go out of your way to revive pugs. They won't return the favour.

I dont know, i just didnt like the look of the lobby so backed out just as kaxas was joining. sounds like i made the right move! I'm careful about who i revive!

Fell into FasterThanFTLs lobby earlier. Was expecting it to be laggier than it turned out so stuck with the Jugg. Went as smoothly as I expected, but had an invite from DaveT and Dunvi so bailed after just one game.

I'm not saying it's necessarly a "good" translation, but I just can't see any better way to say "Firebase" in French.

"Déesse Attaquée" ?
"Déesse Envahie" ?
"Déesse Occupée" ?

Anyway I think about it, it sounds stupid. I also chuckled at "Déesse Enflammée", because perverted mind...  

I mean, there might be something better, but between putting something bad or putting nothing, they might as well go for the first option, that's how it works in translation classes : ommiting a word is worse than writing bullcrap.

The thing is that the english language permits the taking of liberties therewith. You can, to some extend, merge two words into new ones. The french language, being more stringent, allows not to follow any similar process. Therefore, the translators have to adapt words and expressions which cannot be properly translated into french. Hence the discrepancies between the diffenrent versions. At least their use of the french language was, for the most part, proper.
