Not sure if I bumped into any BSNers. I recently got back into ME3, after taking a year long break (meaning a break from BSN, too) so dunno. The PC playerbase seems decent enough in terms of numbers, but I haven't encountered anyone I can recall from the forums. Oh well.

The N7 Shadow was the first non-vanilla character I used. And she was fun for a while. It becomes really finicky for crowd control on Gold, however, and Shadow Strike puts her in the vulnerable likelihood to be sync-killed. Electric Slash is way weaker on Gold than I originally thought.

 

Besides, I usually end up with teammates competent enough to kill everything because Shadow Strike takes so long to zoom in, teleport and ultimately slash into. (This is while I have her equipped with nothing but a pistol for max cooldown rate.)

 

I miss playing as her. I really do. But she's just not kill-effective on harder difficulties. I was thinking maybe it's time to switch to a different Infiltrator (maybe the N7 Shadow Huntress?) for those 1234 moments.

 

She actually is. Sometimes I bring my full melee Shadow to Platinum games with friends. Quite challenging but also enjoyable. Can usually hold my own and keep up. I never thought I would be able use her efficiently at a Platinum level. Soloing Gold was great preparation. If you enjoy playing her just keep working at it.

I just am agape! I have played Platinum pugs for a couple of week straight with some Gold mixed in there, been living the hard PUG life and have ragequit so many times and yet get no messages. Guess I should be happy though lol.

She actually is. Sometimes I bring my full melee Shadow to Platinum games with friends. Quite challenging but also enjoyable. Can usually hold my own and keep up. I never thought I would be able use her efficiently at a Platinum level. Soloing Gold was great preparation. If you enjoy playing her just keep working at it.

Ooh! Any chance you could post up your build? I fancy trying out the shadow and haven't really used one yet (with any success anyway! )

Had a game with Illegal Algebra, and he did not disappoint. He was Incendiary glitching with Asari Huntress, and by wave 3 the missiles were flying, so I joined in. Managed to narrowly outscore him, 211k to 207k. As soon as we got back to the lobby he had immediately swapped to Drell Infiltrator with a Harrier X and full equipment, so I left

I'll confess I don't recognise the name, but then again, I'm terrible at remembering names.

He might be a lurker, or just have a different name on XBL to here, come to think of it.

 

He clearly recognised us though, because he called Ari "Argent", despite the fact she was using her new alt account, and sent us all a "GG BSN'ers" message afterwards.

That might explain why he stuck around despite the fact she was using a striker devastator!

She was hosting BTW, no rocket glitching here.

 

It was a good game.

Ran into BaileyTFL for a good one, well as good as a Geth game can be, complete with a wave 1 rage gel.

Yep good game as always, I had a rough 30 seconds of stunlock and downs at one point. Nothing a rage missile couldn't fix though.

Why in the world do BSNers need alternate accounts? Wouldn't unlocking everything again be a pain in the ass?

That was my reaction at first, but there's something to be said for learning to play with minimal resources.

It forces you to adapt, and make the best of what you've got.

 

Some people enjoy the feeling of unlocking new stuff too.

 

It's also a good way of getting some perspective on what it's like to be a new player, a lot of vet players loose sight of what it's like to not have all the toys to play with
