Hi BatariJan, I said "Dammit" because I always enjoy the games we have and I was sorry to miss it. I know BioticPulse takes less carrying than I do though - glad you had fun.

 

Oh and I see you broke 300k the other day - congratulations.

Was it cheesy of me to use the GI on Platinum? It's the only character I'm confident enough with to use on Platinum so far, which sounds funny considering how fragile it is. I knew I'd need good DPS, and Crusader GI is my biggest damage dealer.

Jeremiah12LGeek (don't know if I got that right?) dropped into my GIP, as I was doing some Drellguarding. He was the DAI, and we got another Drellguard a few minutes later. Drell power! (needless to say, grenades were very scarce that game!)

 

Not for me! I spec out of homing grenades, and just use Recon Mine for pure sniping. Which normally works great, but I had a Widow equipped with Drill ammo (my usual setup with the Black Widow) which meant 2-shotting everything with shields (whoops.)

It doesn't matter to me. Use all the cheese you want on platinum because every platinum game has cerberus enemies and you have to use cheese to fight enemies that cheat.

 

BTW, did you use the fixed crusader or the stock one?

 

Edit: Oh and this is as good a time to have a laugh about the troll spawn behind you in one of the later waves of the first game. IIRC, something similar happened in the next game as well.

Try Lancer TGI. Just as cheesy as GI, except with better shields and stim packs for extra cheese. But you're using a Lancer and not a Harrier, so it's okay.

1. Yes, damned Phantoms. I think the only times I really went down were due to lag spikes, and Phantoms.

2. Fixed Crusader, you know it. If I didn't have the patch I probably would've gone with the Talon.

3. I was thinking "wow, why are my shields dropping so fast?" I turn around and there's a Ravager literarily right behind me shooting me. I should know better by now though, I've been troll spawned in that exact spot multiple times before. You're right about the next game too, I think we had a couple of good troll spawns up the back stairs. All I could do was laugh about it!

I've tried out the TGI but I just can't get a handle on it. Something about the jetpack Turians throws me off.

Whaaaaa? Those jetpacks are the best dodging movement ever! They've saved my ass countless times.

I know it's a great kit, sorry, it just feels weird. The dodge goes too far and takes too long, plus I never got the hang of using Sim Packs at the right time. It's just not my cup of space tea, I'm more of a shotgun GI guy.

No problem. I just like there is variety out there....cos I confess I'm mostly a TGI guy

 

The stim packs at the right time are super-easy. Shields down? stim pack. Am I in cover and need an extra damage boost in addition to Cloak to finish off some boss enemy, or group of enemies? stim pack Not much more secret to it.

My brain just can't handle it. I have the same problem with the Havoc, AIU, Volus, and Cabal. I always lose track of when to boost up.

Had fun playing, even though I'm not big on geth. How did if feel being the only quarian in the company of three geth? In a geth game, no less. That must have been confusing

 

And yeah, I'm loving my geth engineer with mantis. Somewhat suboptimal, but the guy wrecks everything if you take care.

Yeah that was me and you're right the second game was Cerberus. 

lol I really have to watch my fire when I'm playing along side geth kits against Geth, One of my scrubbiest moments ages ago was in a Geth game and shooting at a team mate playing a GI, who I thought was a Hunter sneaking up on me. I hate Hunters. 

 

Anyway, it was good playing with you. I've never tried the Mantis on the GE, but you were rockin' it.

That lobby we met in, I had quit out of it but got dropped back in about the same time you did. The original host got idle-kicked and I didn't particularly want to play with one of the other players* anyway, so I just hit B. I was annoyed to be put back in the same lobby, but some good came of it since you showed up. I lol'ed when we both switched to the CSMG Paladin at the same time afterwards.

 

* I had, a few games previously, played with him and his friend. I swear that kid was getting sync killed on purpose, and even had the gall to complain about how long we were taking to finish without him the one time (not that it was actually taking all that long, or that being without him affected anything at all). They also made me clutch wave 10 devices while they prattled on about nothing. I knew from seeing them in the lobby that it would be a carry and I chose to stick around as my good deed for the month, but I wouldn't have done it if I had known they weren't going to give a **** about the match. Oh, and he sat on the LZ throughout wave 11 using all his missiles and explained to his friend that he helped a lot on the final wave because he nuked about "12 banshees." Glad that after our game we kicked him out (not sure who placed the first vote on him, but I was second).

Yeah, should have used a non-Vanguard kit, those BC delays caused by latency wasted all my ops packs, still nice to see you in action , well played despite apparent lag .

My current internet setup is not good for online gaming tho(DSL 2Mbps), tried solo'd for a week, felt bored and decided to go PUG, guess I am really lucky, met quite a few BSNer today .

Heh, same I don't remember your loadout, but you were kicking some serious geth butt. And Cerberus.

 

Which also made me realize Crusader is not a good weapon on Tsent... at least not on Gold. I rocked Silver pretty hard with it, but on Gold, the CD is just too long. Might switch to Paladin, like you did.

Didn't realise you we're on here! Good games indeed. I laughed when I saw we'd both switched to the paladin. I would normally have switched to another tech character so we didn't overwrite each other's combos, but I needed one more extraction with him for earth mastery so decided to stick with it, and it was glorious!

I had assumed in the first game that the slayer was hosting, so was a bit surprised to see it was the QFE. I was the last to kick - I dithered for a while as I don't like doing it, but his antics on wave 10 were a bit much (missiled a spawn nowhere near the escort, which ensured both atlases were in the way, and then he bled out). The fact he was afk just clinched it.

Yes good game ! Sub-20 match are pretty rare in PUGs.

 

I didn't even notice that you used 3 gels wave 11, it tells how the game was smooth overall.
