I had a ton of fun last night playing with marksmad, who first introduced me to ExcellaGionne, and then to sabreracer. Thanks for accepting my FRs! Must have been a leap of faith for Excella given the uh... singalong over voice chat and my lame driving of the smashbro adept.  I did better with the novaguard, I think, though we had a messy wave 3 (devices) on white/geth as a biotic trio (with marksmad's justicar and saberacer's commando) because kiting is for scrubs. In the last game we equipped our jugs and were joined by a tiny (it's not just me, right? he was tiny) but capable quarian pug infiltrator who kindly delivered the pizza and outscored us all. Good times.

We found a loophole around the damn stuck joining game screen and forced landed in the same PUG for 3 good games. And I always have fun mercilessly destroying bad guys.

Thank God we found a way around this stupid issue. I always wanted to team up with you, and now we did. My favorite game was on Ghost, where we both played Drells. Next time, we will try to find a similar way to team up.

I did hundreds of these with a select few friends I've never been able to connect to. Maybe nowadays it's more likely to succeed because there aren't as many players on at any given time, but it used to be almost as much of a pain in the butt as being stuck joining. As in, one of us gets in, but the lobby fills up before the other one can, or it turns out to be a full game in progress. But yeah.

Unfair! I have a recent model Fritzbox with the latest firmware and all the XBL, Origin, and ME3 ports explicitly opened, and I'm connected by wires all the way (barring WiiU of course).

 

You're just using it as an excuse to avoid carrying my scrubby derrière

Those were good games, thanks all round. That QMI was truly minuscule, but very fast. I went to pick up the pizza as fast as I could but he still got there before me.

Just played with Qui Gon Glenn for the first time ever, I think, and later in the same game Snow Leopard dropped in. Cerberus pulled out every BS trick in the book on us on wave 9 and 10, plus I got trapped under the stairs in the back corner. I was drawing all the agro and could shoot powers through the walls but that didn't help get the devices done. Qui either lost connection or dropped out intentionally, restarting the wave. His sacrifice wasn't in vain, we got a Worlard as a replacement and made an easy full extraction. *pours blue space drink on ground*

Edit: I would've stuck around for more games with Snow Leopard but I needed to pull my ham out of the oven. (not a euphemism)

Snow_Leopard25 dropped into my lobby with Caerdon. Very fast games on Reactor and Jade I'm so sorry for the lag though. I see you and Caerdon rubberbanding but I rarely host so it was nice to go all rambo with the Drellguard and Fury xD Good games!!

It should work if you join a friend's lobby and then invite the other as well - at least they can hold the slot open on private that way.

This is not guaranteed solution and most of the time solves nothing. The person having the connection issues joining a random pug that he/she is able to connect to and the friends joining the same pug is a more reliable workaround for the infamous stuck joining game screen.

Played some me3 last night with David Diablo when I couldn't fall asleep. Good games man, those "duos" were pretty fun and your new connection is pretty solid. We will have to play again sometime soon after I burn out on Destiny DLC.

I can also second that N7_Paolo is a great player to play with, ran into him a few times and asked the same question back then. Answer as far as I know: no.
