Has anyone ever beat you on the scoreboard, and if not, what's the closest they ever came?

 

Yes I have been beaten quite a few times but mostly when they are using cheap grenade spamming classes and I am not.

I would have pulled my lag card if you had outscored but thankfully I did not need to.

Bumped into DemiserofD on Reaper/Rio, nice shooting with Claymore soldier. Sorry had to take a break after that, too much cr*p to do after New Year's day  .

Well yeah the lag card is always a given and should just be assumed to be in play.

Tonymac - I thought your name looked familiar. I apologize for my scrubbiness. I was playing one of my "I don't know what the heck I'm doing" characters (granted that is most of them ). On the job training as it were. I think by some miracle we all extracted at least. Thanks for the rezzes.

 

You weren't scrubby at all, it was that Quarian.  As I recall, he got us all killed at least once.....  or twice.  Besides, we had two hacks in the middle..... we were bound to get smoked.  

 

I'll add you, maybe we can get some games going sometime.  I still MP 7 days a week

Ran into VANGUARDNOVA  a couple of days ago. It was a GiP  which included Tera_Teratapa and Kosmos. I haven't played with those guys for ages. Sorry VAN I only had time for the one game.

Its not really a BSN'er that I bumped into a PUG because she's on my FL and I invited her to my lobby, but since it was a noteworthy achievement on my part I just wanted to mention that, after probably 200 tries, I finally managed to cook Miss Nova in the Reactor last night (she prides herself on being virtually uncookable). We got the hack on the far side of the Reactor, I was an AM III Vorcha- pushed the button and zipped on through to the hack, knowing people would probably be following right behind me. Sure enough, I get to the other side and turn around to see the purple outline of her character trying (unsuccessfully) to make it through before the door closed. Check and mate!

Yeah I hope I didn't reveal her secret or anything, but I know she occasionally uses a mic so I don't think so. And I agree, she's good. Very nice person too. Not like most of the buttholes I play with   (kidding...).

Ran into that scrub marksmad on White/Geth last night just in time to help him and some random get 3 WS medal. We both dc'd on wave 6 though, the host was apparently trying to solo in a public lobby, so when we showed up we messed him up.

I was really pleased to see you show up in the game, which is why I ran to the LZ to batmelee you. I thought we were doing quite nicely when he suddenly quit on W4, and I lost connection. I figured it was the Internet gods telling me to go do something else for a change. Hope you got some good games in, anyway.

 

Also on topic, I was pUUGing and landed in DTR PRO's lobby, whereupon the legendary Uh Cold appeared with his Claymore GI. We got London Cerb and I finally had a use for the Acolyte I've been packing along with the Crusader all weekend. He obviously hasn't forgotten how to play

I would have prefered playing with you, as I dropped after that in a lobby with only very inexperienced players... almost a constant for me these last days. It's still possible to find decent lobbies but I have the feeling that the player base has taken a serious hit recently.

You're not the only one. When I drop out of the game because I see only low skill players(as in, two number N7 and CP) in Gold and rejoin the same lobby twice, that tells me there's something wrong with player base.

 

Well, if you're ok with it, I'll add you on my friend list in the morning... provided you're still saved on the People Met list. Here's to hoping we can actually get a match or two in in the future.

I wouldn't call it a 'hit'. There are definitely many new players in public lobbies, likely thanks to holiday sales - but it's not a bad thing, is it? It's a sign there's still interest in the game, not that something's gone wrong with the player base.

 

Besides, it's kinda fun to watch them struggle and feel all superior.

The PS3 and PC players bases probably follow different dynamics depending on the respective evolutions of ME3 prices and of the release of the different competing games and machines but, yes, I agree that these new players are likely persons who received ME3 for Christmas. Meanwhile, a part of the experienced players have got new games and are mainly playing them these last days. I, however, don't remember such a strong "Christmas effect" in 2012 and 2013 and encountering such a high proportion of inexperienced players.

 

These new players will maybe constitute a good part of the player base in 2015... or not if they don't like the game so much. I think that the next weeks will tell us a lot more about how is going to evolve the player base.

It's fun to see a new nova-guard learn how to handle two brutes without dying.

 

And even tough my own gung-ho approach to keeping them alive costs me a fair share of med-gels, if we don't get new players, then what....

Hazard Glacier / Cerberus.  With just enough lag, and inconsistent lag at that, to make each shot a toss of the dice, not to mention the inevitable cloak glitch.  (Although honestly even with the glitch it's kinda hard to complain about cloak.)  Thanks for carrying us nonetheless.  At least you extracted.

Very tough to shoot anything with so much variable lag, especially with a charge up weapon like the Arc Pistol, I really struggled in the beginning but got slightly more used to it towards the end. Had to use a lot of trickery to get through that game.
