It's supposed to be a collectible.  Whether or not it is worth $330 depends on whether there are people willing to pony up the cash for it.

 

To illustrate, this statue of Kusanagi is about 7 1/2 inches tall, NOT a limited edition and is currently selling for around $250 to $500.  I have one on my desk, for which I paid a more modest price of $69.99 when it first launched.
