Robarcool and I went through two host migrations but still made full extraction. Lost my incendiary ammo after the second migration but somehow still top scored with adas and siege pulse spam, not sure how that happened.

Ran into HamleticTortise and we were both Batarians!

 

I had to solo Wave 8, and someone started sending me messages on Origin.  For whatever the **** reason, Origin decided these messages were so important, that 3 times it auto-alt-tabbed me out of the game and into the message box, something it has never done before or since.  And of course, Ctrl+F1 would not return to game like it is supposed to.  After burning through 3 Medi-Gels because of this, I just closed the whole damn thing and missiled the rest of the Wave.

 

I don't mind the Gels or Missiles, I just mind looking like a retard while the entire team is spectating me.  Biovar plz.

lmao I would, but the option to Enable Origin Ingame is permacheckmarked, it is not even possible to uncheck the box.

  Obviously that isn't a lady volus.  There are no pictures of them in existance.  Even the almighty google could not deliver a single photo.  They are a rare specimen according to my research. (500 playthroughs of ME trilogy)  I'm saying you are rare precious creature more worthy of preservation than the stupid pandas.

Good games, nice punching, sad the newbie kroguard didn't partake in the between-waves' festivities! I always play bad on Condor/Cerberus, for some reason that combo really throws me off, worse even than geth or collectors. Case in point, that phantom on wave 8 sneaked up on me, didn't hear it meleeing before, so I thought I had time to stagger her. Oh well, gave you the chance to shine Not knowing about your origin problems, I assumed you were preparing to go out in style, let the whole wave converge on your position, then take them with you in a spectacle of fire/blades/rockets. Your batarian sticking in hard cover, holding the invisible rocket launcher with both hands right in front of his crotch might have had something to do with me making that assumption though

 

As for not being able to disable origin in-game, my suggestion is to start origin with administrator's right, then trying to disable the overlay.

Running Fraps, Cortex, or Afterburner will prevent the Origin in Game overlay from loading, whether it's enabled in Origin or not. I believe that running Origin from inside Steam will also have the same effect.

You need to have fraps or one of the others running before you start Origin. It's perfectly reliable for me, on Windows 10 PIP build 10074.

This might well be the problem. I hope however that my bad quoting habit is not muddying the issue. Maybe I wasn't being clear. I understood that SMR wanted to not have OiG running, but was unable to switch it off from within Origin. I pointed out that running a different program that grabs the overlay before Origin is started will prevent OiG from being able to load.

The "woooosh" noise you might have heard at the time of my last posting was caused by how your answer made sense flying wayyyy over my head   thanks for the clarification, and thanks for providing a handy way to circumvent the OiG problem!

I found it!  Now will I still be able to see the little black popups in the lower right corner when someone texts me, or will I now be completely oblivious to any and all communications?
