Not really a pug, as I was invited to the game by Marksmad, but I played a nice game with Smehur Who happens to not only be a good player, but also a pretty good host for me, something hard to come by these days Also the fourth player was probably a bsner too, but I apologize, I didn't recognize the ID.

 

So, good game everyone. Sorry if I bailed right after the first, I hardly can take a match or two of this game nowadays.

Yep, I went and did it again.

 

I generally think of myself as pretty patient, but I was annoyed enough to make a thread about it. 

 

Oh, and I ran into Justinman the other day. I was getting some tricky lag, so I left after the one game, but for Collectors (and laggy Collectors, at that) it went pretty smoothly.

The match was hilarious. It was on glacier/collectors. She joined the gip at wave 3 and was getting grabbed by an abomb as she spawned in.

I think we played together at least once back when you were still using the old handle, maybe months or a year ago so I can't recall the details, I blame the RNG god for matchmaking .

Or blame the RNG God of Trolling? Sometimes it feels like the game intentionally throws you into a lagging lobby just to laugh. Sorry about not remembering playing with you, I was mostly in the lag hell playing with Bolivians or Icelanders.

First bumped into crashsuit on Hazard Dagger for a nice destruction of geth. Then, I landed into some lobby with HomeyCDawg. The lag was too much and I contemplated to quit as I could not hit nothing neither with graal nor with siege pulse but decided to stay and watched as Homey wrecked Cerberus with his hammer.

Sinful's brother forgot to charge WiiU tablet overnight, so I didn't know if that's where I would see the game invites or not. Why I decided to host, send invite, and wait because of this. Even though I knew it would be a bad idea.

 

Anyway. The match we had was the first time I actually played the old design Firebase White (since I lost connection ASAP every other time I landed in it). Different design really threw me off at few times.

 

Was out of gels by wave 8 or something. Seen in spectator mode everyone was teleporting around. Then eventually I lost EA communication. Couldn't figure out how to join that game again, so here I am... still clueless about how hardware & software works on the Nintendo end of things just like when I switched to PS3 2nd account last time.

The invites appear on the TV display, but they only flash for a few seconds so if you're not looking, you'll miss it. The game was okay until wave 7,8,9 when I could no longer tell where I was as I was teleporting everywhere. We resumed the match with milmimilktea who is one of the best players on Wii U. Cleared it fine without issues. Maybe you should tell me about your modem/router model this time? Hmm?

To rejoin, check first if you have an invite to the match from me (sometimes, it appears). If not, search the match and put in White, Reapers, Gold. There's a good chance you'll land into the match again.

And those stray Banshee Warps sure had it in for me. I thought 4 points in fitness and hard cover was enough. Guess not.

I can host, no problem. I invited Mateusz into the match too and he's... well... the one man army. He does everything by himself and still can revive mates while dominating the match. Shame we lost him at wave 7. The lag was getting pretty excessive.

I'm sure that the banshee balls operate the same way they did on other platforms. Usually, 4 points of fitness and hard/soft cover should about work.

I contemplated on using geth engineer so I could support you, but then, I just used that same kit on PC an hour ago. So, switched to geth infiltrator for a bit more fun. I rarely use infiltrators so they always yield more interesting matches.

I'm still wondering why the lag was getting worse. I unplugged both PCs from the modem just to be safe. Maybe I should contact my internet provider too. Ever since I switched to unlimited internet + much higher DL speeds, I've been noticing more issues too... I should at least ask for another modem or better yet, buy my own... debating raisng the upload speeds past 2, since that should be more then enough for ME3mp.

 

Well, the good thing is that you guys finished that match.

My internet is 1.5 Mbps downstream and 0.5 mbps upstream. You shouldn't need to upgrade your internet. How about you go look at the modem/router and also describe to me how your network topology looks like. Mine, it's:
[internet] > modem/router (ISP) > my own DLink router > Wii U (WiFi)

If I were to wager a guess, I think someone is piggybacking your internet.

It is possible that your modem/router wifi isn't playing nice with the console. Did you do the DNS trick?

Have to wait for Sinful's brother to get up so I can retrieve the WiiU tablet off the charger. Can't view certain settings without it.

 

EDIT - ok, that adapter I'm looking for is called a USB Lan adapter (didn't know it was going to use the USB port). One guy even used a non official Nintendo one and got his issues fixed. So I should be able to find this at any PC dedicated store np.

Just met Fr3ak_Gamer_33 while pugging platinum with MrsFlyingKebab. Had 2 smooth games, one Goddess/Reapers, the other Reactor Hazard/Collectors. Smooth aside from the frame loss I was having, I meant. GGs

I joined a GIP with TheNIghtSlasher (Geth/Dagger) running a valkyrie. Lag got horrible more and more and i suppsoe that was the reason for you leaving at round 8 (?), can't blame you, i should have done the same.Things didn't get better after that,  but at least we made it out of there with 0 consumables left on my side...
