Ran into JGDD for Reactor/Cerberus/Gold

 

Good game.  Even if I did try to spent the whole match avoiding your Venom screenshake.   Holy turrets though!  I must have destroyed at least 15 myself.  At one point, I was looking down a line of four of them up by the little room. I was VERY glad that I took 6a on Biotic Focus.  That 0.5 seconds of invulnerability was a lifesaver there!

 

And I got to smack some blinky flashlights around FB Giant with Silvershroud last night.  Nice job.

TheShadyEngineer fell into our all volus reactor hazard/collectors match and outscored all of us by a wide margin despite joining in wave 3-ish. Then had a nice game on Condor v Geth. GGs!

That first game was the first time I was the only non-Volus in a Volus lobby. It was hilarious.   

 

Having my shields topped off at all times was also a nice side bonus.

Anybody know what this guy's deal is? I probably wouldn't give a single thought about it (except maybe as a curiosity of why somebody would waste so much of his own time and others, by being that picky), but I happen to run into this guy almost every time I pug. Like 8/10 times I pug, I happen to grace his lobby at least once, but sometimes twice or thrice during a same session (and he always quits, unless  I quit before him as I try to do nowadays). To a point it's slowly starting to be annoying and little eerie.

Nobody knows, but we even have a thread dedicated to him right here! Of 17 pages, no less... and counting.

Bumped into FairfaxGal and iamjamian for a couple of games. Both tech oriented both sub 20. Loved it. 

 

Also just played a few rounds with Bud Halen. First game I dropped in progress as an engineer while the rest were biotics so I tried to keep my distance from the boom squad to not mess with their rhythm and second round was techsplosive with an AIU, GE, HME and TGI. Not to mention since we were playing against Collectors, headshots everywhere from multiple weapons.

 

Good games everyone. 

 

Funny how my first game of the night ended up being a laggy w10 wipe with some tactical dipshit who was separated from the team on the other side of the map biching on voice comms about how no one is covering his 'rear flank', yet all games after that were outstanding. I guess this unpredictability is why I keep coming back to ME3.

Aside from Shady, I wrapped up some space war video game runs with Beardy McGoo.  I thought I recognized your handle/ID.  Very nice work.

Damn, wouldn't have guessed there's already threads dedicated to this nonissue. And I thought I was so special The guy doesn't seem to be very forthcoming, so I guess it's not surprising that nobody knows, but it's hard to believe anybody is that cunty about picking up teammates. So it must be some sort of a weird attention deficiency or just about being annoying.  Regardless good to know that it's this widespread, since for a moment there I thought it had to be a gypsy curse.

 

Edit: I guess, I shouldn't have tempted fate, but just after I posted that I decided to take a nice relaxing Gold pug and something unbelievable happens...

I bumped into donkbetter yesterday for one match on Rio (need Rio waves) while playing as Shadow (finishing Tech challenge with ES was the fastest option). He was a BatSent with Valkyrie. It went ok enough, got challenge done halfway, but wasted to many gels and ops. ES works really great on map like Rio with Geth Scanner.

Thanks for the carry, trying to L2P the BatSent without using a high-powered shotgun but failing miserably so far. It doesn't help that I keep turning BladeArmor off instead of casting SubNet.

 

Was too slow with the ops pack to avoid that Wave 10 phantom. I usually ragequit after getting stabbed on Wave 10 (really nothing more to contribute to the game except Wave 11 ragemissiles) but stuck around to watch your good Shadow work.  Looking forward to unlocking her one day.

She is the ONLY character in the game with it, so skipping it on her means you never get to use it. Which is a long, slippery slope to only using the most OP stuff and ignoring everything else. Suddenly you will find yourself using TGI Harrier, AIU Reegar, and Acolyte/CSMG Biotics in ever.single.game, with no appreication for the variety available in this game.

I never host, but skip the power which doesn't particularly benefit from hosting, because I love the other one so much. ES can do a lot of damage, but I've never found a playstyle which didn't resort at some stage to 'hiding behind a wall and spamming it' - I know you can do better, but for me the tactical play which SS requires is much more entertaining.

"Entertaining"? You mean "dead because there was enemies around the corner that couldn't be seen"?

And before everybody starts b*tching about "using it at the right time", for starters, that is exactly what I am talking about, even with a Geth Scanner, you can't see EVERY enemy at all times, also, if you aren't using it, and just cloak->shoot like any other infiltrator, the power is wasted points, I'd rather have a detonator that can detonate allied tech explosions, and ammo powers. Not to mention most (good, Gold/Platinum viable) guns can kill the enemy in the exact same amount of time as your flashy non-teleport takes to do its thing.

 

I do, also, see the point of it being a phantom killer. However, there are also countless other, less stupid, ways of killing them. Taking an entire power for one enemy, otherwise gimping yourself, is also stupid. Just take a ULM Acolyte if you're that bothered.

 

I will concede the point on skipping a signature power myself, however, to my knowledge it is the ONLY one I skip, I'm not going to claim it's not against my own points, I'm freely admitting to it.

 

I get that you all love the flashy, hollywood style camera angles it uses. And you like hitting things with a sword. However, that doesn't make it OMGBS, it makes it a trap. FOR ME, it is the single worst power in the game. It has ONE advantage, which is killing Phantoms, which is only achievable if you build around it, and ignore it's other potentially lifesaving advantages.

 

You know what IS good? AoE Stagger. Multiple Tech Detonations. Movement Speed from Fitness. AoE Shield Stripping (No other single power can do that much shield damage to to that many enemies at once). You also get to experience Snap Freeze+Electric Slash, the most OP combo in the game, because ES makes a joke of enemy Shield Gate.

I don't know if they saw my console text, so I'll repeat that I didn't mean to host, and left. Next match I searched for, they were there too, and this time we got to play. It ended up being Ghost Hazard Collectors. Good game!

Yep, I saw your text, just don´t know how to do it myself. Have to say that it was a pretty good game although it was some of the worst map, a bit lag here and there and enemy beeing trollectors. Nevertheless it was nice to meet you.

TopTrog joined my lobby for two games, bromeleed, wrecked enemies and all that. Provided good old Batarian company for my icy Quarksman. Queen of pain was also there for the first game, really shame we couldn't make it a 10WS, although we made Geth suffer. Good game(s) guys.

Good game, man. You didn't miss much, we were only able to fit a game or two more in after you left... and Comcast dumped my @ss offline in the middle of the last one, so par for the course. LOL

 

Always nice to run across a BSNer and someone who mics up to join in the shenanigans. It's usually just me and KO in a vacuum.
