Since you brought it up, I cut those things from your post because I had no idea what point you were trying to make. So Sovereign recruited geth to be his shock troops.....and? What point of mine were you countering?

I see, now i understand how i can like the ending :D

Not again this overanalytic, nitpicking, lifeless nerd who can't deal with a freaking game's ending after a year of its release. Smudboy should get a real job and a girl for himself instead of living his life in a virtual sci-fi universe... I can't believe that this is so important to some...

And yes I like the ending post-EC... and I have better things to do than constantly thinking about the ending of a game trilogy.

And you wasted your time by coming here and actually writing a post why?
Somehow i knew you liked the ending even before you sayed it...strange

First read the title of the thread, then add the fact that I like the ending... I think it's pretty clear why I came here and read the OP: it was addressing me (and others who like the ending). So I felt like answering. Is it a problem?

It's not me who's so obsessed with this last year topic and ME in general so much... I'm fine with the game as it is, with all its flaws and I don't feel the need to explain myself to anyone (especially when it comes to my level of intelligence which you happened to question even if in a subtle way). I'm almost thirty, I'm a doctor, I have family and friends to care about, and I have my duties... I'm a fan of this game, but I have much more important things in my life than making boring and nitpicking videos about something I dislike, especially if it is such a marginally important thing as a simple game

:P

I knew you would take that part as trying to explain myself... but the bolded sentence stood for something completely else: I was talking about  the reason why I like the ending and why I find it good. That's what I don't think I need to explaind. The rest is just telling about me... but go for it pal...

Almost killed? That's not what I rememberd.

I remembered it simply knocked them back about 2 steps and casued the debris they were standing on to come loose.

They sruvived because there was an incline, it was not a drop. If it was a drop Shepard and Anderson would have died. That's just a shockwave.

And would happen if there wa just flat ground? You know, like the earth scene has?

I'm not understanding how the shockwave would kill them, if there is not great height to fall from.

those who were not mutilated, vapourised, smashed or killed by the blast/debris, would have been knocked down by the shockwave.
the knocked down soldiers would be shellshocked and most likely confused and disoriented. they whould have been easy targets for harbys guns.

Yeah, it would shellshock them like how shepard was when he got hit by a bigger shockwave from, what can be assumed, was a heavy crusier getting destroyed. You know, how it took him/her all of 4 seconds to recover from being pounded by the shockwave and rolling down at least a 100 feet of debris.

And please, do elaborate on how a shockwave would utterly obliterate the ground team and leave nothing but a pile of strewn about body parts and gore, or how harbinger would hit the normandy the multiple times it would need to in order to destroy it without the normandy flying away, or how the normandy would create a bigger shockwave than a heavy crusier?

No, you make a boarderline hysterical rant post instead...

Grrrrr... grrrr... grrrr... go on with the hate... I don't care... I just wrote down what I think about smudboy and his kind... I find this whole ending obsession totally stupid. It's not the criticism... it's the irrationality of it... one year people... one year... it's really time to move on...

Yup. ME3 forums. Only place on the web where it is impossible to have a civilised frank exchange of opinions about the damn topic of the forum. One of the universes most inexplicable phenomena.

Ground team could never be destroyed cuz as long as you stood in one place the soldiers kept coming, probably from a cloning machine. Plus we had makos who can do summersaults while being hit while other mako would just explode. Plus Normandy could possibly fly away in the matter of miliseconds, knowing it took 5 sec to come from the orbit ;P All possible just like landing a big spaceship on an uneven ground without any  landing gear. :D

Smudboy has a lot of good points. However his constant nitpicking and complaining and his voice can get really tiresome.

I think someone once asked him a really good question also:

"If you put all fiction you see under such scrutiny, how can you ever enjoy any of them?"

What Smudboy doesn't understand about the Catalyst is that he is supposed to be a insane A.I who is forcing Shepard to do his **** as his idea and he doesn't trust organics.

Or the endings are a poorly written piece of poop that make no sense if you analyze the things we learned in them... Synthesis... yeah... add my "energy" which is the "essence" of me and booooom, everyone is green now.

OK, after all this talk about smudboy, I clicked on the first video.
Within 21 seconds, he's called everyone who thinks positive about the EC "wrong"

It's a shame the internet provides a place for this.
(and what a boring voice!)

No, none of the choices are from the Catalyst, they are from the Crucible.....the Catalyst tells Shepard if he dissents the choices that he is bound by the same choices the Crucible provides as Shepard is.

And he is not an insane AI...he is an AI that lacks full understanding of organics...kind of like why they don't favor being "harvested" and "perserved".

I don't think the normandy landed in that scene. More like the intro where it stayed hovering in place.

Also, why all the sarcasm for what were legitimate points I raised in questioning how a shockwave from the normandy would kill every member of the groundteam?

First off I am so glad that I now read post in the bioware threads now. I have already clicked on links to smudboy before. I am just glad that I will no longer be giving him any views from me. He literally wins the prize for dead horse beater. Shepard's story is over move on. Heck at this point I wouldn't be surprised if Bioware pulls a DC New 52 on future Mass Effect games.

Second (about the post I am quoting): Funny I like how he believes that his opinion actually matters when it comes to works of FICTION. Unless the game is based on reality, which it is clearly not at least not at this point, then anything can fly.
