I actually like the map.   Don't use the box of shame though. But I do like that end of the map. Lots of soft cover.

With the burning passion of ten thousand suns, PUGs have NO ****ING CLUE how to suppress spawn points and always try to hold the island/bridge, then I look the like the **** for running back to the box'o'shame (not the box itself, just trying to suppress that spawn) area and trying to prevent the entire team from getting flanked...

I always know Rio is going to be a slog, and thus the hate. Fun map to bring the Javelin GI to though...

 Nope, people were exagerating about that "box of shame". I dropped into ONE game lobby that was going to do that. They were all high N7/Challenge Point, were 2 vorcha (characters who I had noticed in other games were right in the fray with me and being awesome with flamer) and a Volus, AND they had mics, thought this would be a pretty fun game. 

As soon as we got into the game, I went to behind that cover next to that area that is gated off, expecting us to go at it. "Hey Salarian, get to the box. You won't survive out there". Left the lobby immediately hoping to save my consumeables.

Oh yeah, the pizza delivery can be pretty fun, since it's like you have to run a gauntlet and deliver it for the good of all that ever will be, risking life and limb, but it can get frustrating sometimes. THE DRONE can be VERY annoying, especially if some of the group refuses to stay near it.

I've grown quite fond of it, granted i don't play plat so i haven't really experienced the box of shame, except on this one silver game where a level 20 destroyer ran and hid there whilst i Jugg'd the hell out of the rest of the game.

He did come out after it became clear i wasn't playing the camping game...say around wave 6 i think.

I like the map. No issues with it.  I like that it is big.

Not really. The amount of grenades you get on that map are nice. I hate Condor, Jade and Goddess much more than Rio.

I like it. It's a challenge, and as others have said there is a lot of fun cover in the pylons and box maze. PUGs who are silly enough to stay in the middle control room usually follow my lead to hang on the box side after I nuke a few spawns. There always seems to be one bleed out expert who doesn't get it. Tends to also be the silly person who camps the LZ during extraction.

HATE it and not for the normal reasons, like glitching or box o' shame. I hate the map layout and the time it takes to clear the map.

I love this map so much!! There is a nice box you can hide in for 45 minutes to beat platinum easily and have so much fun spamming shield boost while the trooper is burning one husk at a time and two juggernauts are meleeing maraudeurs!!!! Oh...wait . Apart from that, I depsise this map.

Rather like it, only been in 1 that was full off box o shamers and had fun trollin them with the pizza delivery(thought they looked hungry so i brought the pizza to them) most times people will play the map when you show them the box is not the only way to kill things. Hate glacier though just seems like a clusterf**k waitin to happen most times

I enjoy it so long as I don't run into the shameful sort. I like classes with ragdoll abilities, so throwing guys over edges or instakilling them in that one area by the boxes (not on purpose, just happens) can be fun. Some of the objectives suck; two of the hacks have enemies spawning right next to the damned team. One of the few maps where I'd prefer 3-in-1-out to everyone being in the hack.

Nope I don't hate that map, rarely get it when I pick unknown, I always usually end up in Ghost ugh that f*ckin map!!!
My most hated maps are Condor, Ghost eps Hazard ghost, Hazard Glacier and Vancouver.
