Well i was ready to quote myself and said i found a way but you ansered in the mean time, consollers can buy this :

Apparently it let's you plug usb and ps2 mouse and keyboard and even dualshock2 into a xbox 360.

price isn't cheap though.

Does anyone knows if it work ?

The reason why it seems weapons do more damage on PC is because we don't aim for the knees :whistle:

why cap the framrate at 62 if it was made to run at 30. why not cap it at 32 instead?

we don't have answers as to why the game is the way it is other then its BWs 1st MP game

It doesn't make any sense, but it's abundantly clear that it is the case. The way that enemies behave and track in that video at 30 FPS isn't even close to how they behave on console. Honestly, before seeing this, I didn't think there probably was a difference, and I figured enemy tracking was just worse on Xbox, but the video makes it absolutely clear that it isn't the case.

Seriously, I'm not basing this off of some weird defensiveness about console vs. PC. The gameplay just looks completely different.

I'm pretty sure it's a hard restriction the console version places on the game controls.  It's not that the controller configuration makes it physically difficult or awkward to turn the camera while running, it's that it's literally impossible to do so.

I capped the framerate on my GF's laptop to 30 just to feel the difference after play at 60 FPS...

To be sincere someone must be very idiot to cap the framerate @ 30 FPS if can play @60 FPS, rather than making AI less accurate what you are really doing is screwing your aiming.

But I guess that depends on the level of the player, for me the game doesn't become easier when I play @30 FPS, it becomes slightly harder because of my aiming, playing @60 FPS is so awesome, so fluid that even with a small laptop mouse is so freaking easy to aim, and I couldn't do that on my PC.


But I don't know, maybe for a terrible player capping the FPS might result in an easier game because anyway they suck so they have to make the AI dumber :/

It may be sheer laziness or incompetence.  The 62 fps max limit is the default for the unreal engine.  So this would be the setting right out of the box if the developer did nothing to alter it.  It's quite possible the default settings are present in all versions of the game, and it's the console hardware that is effectively capping the fps.

There is another possible factor: CPU latency. Video card frame rate alone may not account for everything.

Not even EA is stupid enough to release a PC game with a 32 fps cap.

Besides, changing the framerate is no big deal. You just have to modify a single entry.

Adjusting the enemy AI would take a lot more work I imagine.

Comments like this make me sad with my consistency-cap, even if I know I'm kinda excluded. :unsure:

Jay was not banned for using an aimbot; no one knows why he was banned and it was pure supposition on one individual's part who insisted he was using an aimbot. Jay used to be a professional Counterstrike player, it makes sense that he has insane aim, just an Olympic sprinter can outsprint virtually anyone. So now the console folk come out and accuse every PC player of being a cheater, good one. I heard somewhere most console players were 12+....hmm.;)


again i'm not acusing eveyone of cheating. But hey lance armstroing was cheating. people cheat. some get caiught some don't. i watched jays jav steppin vidoe (which since th acusaiotins has disappeared off youtube) and you can see that it doens't look rigt at all. no way he isn't aimbotting. of course he isn't gonna admit to it but he was banned from L4D. why wouldn't he cheat in another game

I don't feel a single difference of fluidity between 60 and 30 fps, and my aiming is exactly the same with a sniper (even if it is not my favorite gameplay).

What i feel however is that my survivability had increased tenfolds, permiting me at the same time to kill more by hiding less.

How is that being an Idiot ?

How playing at the difficulty the game was designed for makes me an "idiot" espetially if there is not any supplementaty reward in credit ?

They're specifically talking about rounding errors on the clip count for high RoF weapons, not about damage. I think you may have misread something.

Also there is something interesting,

low FPS also affect weapons like Typhoon.

Typhoon at a low FPS doesn't deal the same damage as Typhoon over 30 FPS.

Test it.

They're specifically talking about rounding errors on the clip count for high RoF weapons, not about damage. I think you may have misread something.


It looks like it's inconclusive/needs more investigation.  The rounding error may lead to slightly higher/lower damage.

In any case, I don't think anyone needs to resort to insults or name calling.  Just stick to the discussion.

keep reading. ROF wepaons get incresed ROF on higher FPS like a typhoon casuing it to mow things down faster. keep reading as i stated START there
