I'm reading the tutorial on conversations, and in there it says that you should place the stage near the NPC. But what if the NPC is a guard on patrol?
If he's moving around all over the place the stage shouldn't remain in one place.
Can you script the stage to follow the character?
Is it possible to move the stage?

I don't think you can. Stages are used to customize the way the conversation looks. I theory once you set your stage you could have cameras follow the guard but one would have to think about why you are using a stage for a convo that may take place anywhere (if the guard is moving around all over the place.)

It is entirely theoretical for me too. I don't have a specific scenario where I need it, but the thought struck me.

possible solution: set the (fixed) stage facing away from characters (e.g., towards the horizon or a local landmark), so it appears feasible 4 any of the locations the guard is located at (when interacted with)
