Next ME4 MP a MMO? (Now with poll)

Truly, as strong of a following as this MP has why screw with it too much by making an MMO or, ugh, PvP? Polish it up. Add additional maps. Let's go from there for the second iteration of this game.

Bioware's staff would live to regret releasing an ME MMO. I'd make sure of it.
Would you spam their e-mail?

I'd like to see return of this horde mode, but also emply 4 to 6 man teams that can go through HUGE levels & battles and have tied into our campaign games. So lets say the OP is using the single player hero for his campaign, I can join him with my custom Krogan kit as his teammate to help go through his campaign, and the rest of the squad would either be campagin squadmates or fellow friends using thier custom kits (or user controlled campaign squadmates, player's choice).
We could also have MP hubs, like say the Citadel or Omega (not necessarily those specific locations, but urban hubs like them) where you could meet up with squadmates, purchase & upgrade gear and armor, hit the casinos to help fund equipment upgrades or hire/buy ships for missions. Also have combat arenas where you can face off 1 vs 1 against other players, or do 4 vs 4. If you aren't involved in the combat, you can bet on the outcome to earn or lose credits.
Not sure if that is a true MMO, but it would be awesome.

I have not played a single MMO because those games just don't appeal to my interests, but I would like to see a psuedo-MMO for ME4. Well, I'm not sure if what I want actually falls under the MMO umbrella.

That's be cool. Basically replacing the lobby with an open world and adding functions. I'm not sure if anyone has seen the set up for Defiance, but something similar to that would be interesting, though preferably without PvP

Yup, this formula has been used in several MP games -- Global Agenda, Firefall, and Phantasy Star are a few off the top of my head.

That's funny I've found a very old thread about idea of ME MMO and there was rather positive reaction to that. I'm wondering what happend?
Positive? I saw a lot of "no"s in that thread, or sarcasm and disinterest. Not sure what you read there...
And if SWTOR is going to be any kind of indication, I doubt Bioware will dip into making another MMO in the near future.

What I was thinking about was having maybe 8 main characters. Each with their own plotline that goes along with main story. Anyone can join in to your game as any of the other suadmates.

Unless its a MP game with mmo style components (Like global agenda or something) that would be okay I think, not really a true MMO though.

It's my belief that the future is here, and it's called DUST 514. If EA isn't entirely crazy this is what the next installment of ME MP will resemble, except with more focus on co-op vs. AI rather than PvP.
Mass Effect MP doesn't need to become an MMO Shooter in order to thrive.
