Eh, actually, you'd be surprised at what a good sniper can do. I took my Reegar-toting Batarian Slasher into a London/Reaper/Silver game, and because I had pretty much no long-range options save for Lash, try as I might I really wasn't able to do anything before the sniper got to them.

I stayed away from Silver for a long time over that.

Yep, similar experience with my batarian. I'd love it when everytime I tried to melee, a sniper would kill steal. Annoyed me to no end.

I've never noticed anyone acting any differently to my lone wolf banner: I got the same ratio of good to crap player as before I had it and when I use the other ones. It has go me a couple of nice messages though .

Other side of the story:
"I'm a sniper, so what I'm supposed to do is snipe. I've got enemies running around with no cover at all, just begging to be headshot, and everytime I'm about to pull the trigger, some punch-happy Batarian runs over and tries to steal my kill!"

Crappy players are crappy players. This has nothing to do with lone wolf, botb or any banner.

If I'm going into a random gold lobby I go in with the mindset of having to solo stuff. If people play good I'm happy if they don't I'm not surprised. Its a bit different on platinum (I mostly play platinum). Once you find a lobby that is not Rio then it mostly is a decent enough team that can get through the match. Thats why I stopped caring what banner I have on atm.

Agree . There are many PUGS   where you just know that if you get insta-killed or run out of gel the game is over

I suspect it has little to do with your lone wolf banner & more to do with a PUG full of players trying a harder difficulty than they were used to getting in over their heads. We had the same thing in January with all the Christmas novices. Yes it can be a pain, but there's no need to boast/rant about it.

Lol. Poor, poor engineer. Ha, you guys are d*cks. It should be an unwritten rule, if you're from BSN, don't go all infiltrator and screw over a pug. Granted, he would've been bottom of the scoreboard anyway, but you don't have a right to complain about phantoms when this happens.

Oh don't worry, carrying is practically the only thing I do when I PuG. It just annoys me that the problem becomes even worse if I display my lone wolf banner publicly.

Not really, if I have it unequiped, I get praise for carrying, if I equip it, I get nothing but butthurt, and a team unwilling to participate in the match.

Lol, tell that to some of the people here on the BSN, they've spent months pulling out their hair trying to solo Gold. It's not easy at all for some. No, one of the easiest challenges probably has to go to the wave based ones. The ONLY thing you have to do is play the game to get those, whether it be Bronze or Platinum, it doesn't matter.

Welcome to gold with PUG's, it's like that with every lobby.

Normally either 2nd place at least gets 80k, with the other two on sub 40k, or everyone else is around 60k.

It's nothing to do with the title, it's to do with bad players.

Thier high N7 and high lvl URs suggested they weren't new to MP.

Oh FFS, take your E-peen somewhere else.  This isn't an E-peen thread, if it was, I would have posted it as such. This is merely a response to all the, "Y U NO WERE LON WULF?!" threads. Now they know why, because it generates faar to much hate, and the idea that "we" don't have to do anything because "he" will carry us because he's a lone wolf. This is a cooperative game people, not a SP game with a spectator mode dammit! Same goes for BotB banners. It causes people to expect more out of the person than the rest of team, leading to you having to do all the work while the team just sits back and watches.

I for one, do not expect people with the BOTB to do all the work. I actually expect them to come in 2nd, 3rd or 4th place. This is because i like to show these BOTB people that it is just a banner.

I like the Platinum PUGs, especially the idiots on Rio who killbox themselves by boxhumping without a volus. Then get upset with ME when I tell them to stop going into the box, and rely on me with my LW banner to carry the wave after they all die.

Last time we got to wave 10, pizza delivery, delivered one, they wiped, I carried the second one all the way to the designated drop point, set it down and waited to die.

The rage was delicious.
