Everything but the quiet party would've been very ooc for my Shep (besides actually throwing a party to begin with). The most remarkable Zaeed line I remember is, when asked if he had any fun, "As much fun a man can have without plastic explosives." He, Javik and Wrex form this veteran badass discussion circle, which is quite entertaining.

Then Ashley asked Shepard to meet her "minus shirt & pants when everybody left". So needless to say, criticism about his hosting skills suddenly became irrefutable.

This.  They are/were all part of the Normandy crew at some point in the series.  My Shepard loves em all.  It was awesome, all the banter and dialogue at the party.  Well done with that BW.  The group pic was icing on the cake.

Okay I admit it's not character fault...but BW really threw her at My Shepard...Really...her own comic, her own DLC, the only character to search for Shepard's body, the prothean expert that found crucible. I wonder why she wasn't the catalyst, because it was so important, and BW love to give her important roles.

In one variation he told my FemShep he always thought she was beautiful. That was pretty neat.

I invited everybody minus Wrex as he was dead coming in. I do kind of want to replay through the party with different combinations of people to see if the dialogue in the party changes much. But i have my loud party coming at the end of my trilogy run(with Wrex alive this time) and it will probably be 2014 before I do another trilogy run. And I really can't see myself just throwing on Mass Effect 3 to play by itself but you never know.

Not really sure what you're point is here.  Liara wasn't important enough to have a role in your crew in ME2 except for a DLC which is required to fulfill back story only, not required to actually play.  Tali and Garrus are the only two to join you in battle throughout all three games, and aside from them only Joker and Dr. Chakwas are on your ship.  But James Vega wasn't in it from the beginning and he got his own movie.  Aria also gets her own DLC and she is nothing more than a minor character in ME2.  Also, Liara's role as a Prothean expert was kind of established before she even joined the crew, so how would it be logical that anyone else finds the plans for the Crucible?  And given that her mother allied herself with Saren, why on Earth would you assume she wouldn't have important roles thrust upon her?

I mean sure, you don't exactly have to like her, but hell if her roles aren't appropriately designed and the additions to the MEU don't make sense.  Especially when lesser characters (Mr. Vega and Ms. T'Loak) also get similar additional-MEU treatment.

Also, I invited everyone, but Chakwas declined the invitation. Does she always do this or would she show up if you hadn't already celebrated with a bottle of ice brandy?
