I was wondering if there was a way to use Gibbed's SaveEdit to reset my shepard back to level one for another playthrough. It has an option to set level, but every time I gain exp I get reverted back to 58. Also my squadmates levels remain at 58 when I set myself to 1.

I think if you wait until you stat the new game, then set it to Level 1 right after you get control on Vancouver (the prologue) it will work.

I have never had an issue changing the level that way.

I feel like that's what I did, but I'm not entirely sure. An alternative would be to start a new game and manually set the plot flags.

Go under the raw tab in Gibbed, go to "3. Squad" and then "Player". There is a field called "current XP", set that to 0. I think that will do the trick. You also still need to set the character to level 1 of course.

Worked like a charm. Thanks. Also, I needed to set my squadmates talent points to zero in henchmen under the squad tab.

Oh I misunderstood this topic. I haven't used my method for NG+, just for import games. So I wouldn't have had XP laying around yet.
