Can't post a link to that, but they just posted this...

"Our challenge system and N7 HQ will be maintained and looked after."

They told us in advance when they were releasing the last DLCs. If they were cancelling weekend ops, they'd have had plenty of chance to do it. The last one was a big event, with three commendation packs they'd have said, "Here we go, we're going all out, this is where the story ends - it's been a blast!"

I can't think why they'd be coy about ending something as relatively minor as the weekend operations when they were so open about ending DLC support. If this is where it ends, I have a hunch it won't be for want of trying. My guess is that they're trying to implement a new system but haven't quite got it running yet.

I would guess that you're right, but what's the harm in saying "yeah, we're working on something right now, we'll see if it comes to fruition"?

There's customers/fans on this forum who have been asking the question for about a week now, and they get nothing. We know the devs are watching, b/c anytime someone posts something about the EA CEO or something mildly aggressive towards bioware, their thread gets shut down. They're watching people asking these questions, and not doing anything.

There's always the argument that someone isn't authorized to answer, blah blah blah. I say, then please find someone who can comment on it. There's middle ground between 1)Not saying anything and 2)divulging too much before all of the information is known. There is a way to respond.

"Our challenge system and N7 HQ will be maintained and looked after."

That's a really awkward statement. It implies the challenge system will be maintained - yet doesn't specifically mention the weekend challenges. Simply saying "Thanks for playing, lodestar was the last challenge" or "weekend challenges are on a hiatus until a revised challenge system is in place." Bioware, always with the secrets!

I couldn't agree more - in fact I just said something similar on another thread. To get an answer on so many (and too many) things we have to cultivate the forums, 3rd party websites and every bw employee's twitter account to find any shrivel of information, and when there is actually a more direct message sent to the fans on the forum, it's so artfully worded so as to totally confuse anyone who was hoping to receive some helpful information. BW should switch from videogames to political consultants. They'd make truck loads of money.

Hopefully it means they're starting on ME4. I sincerely hope they bring multiplayer back. And no, please, we don't need pvp. I'm so over call of duty and halo. I thoroughly enjoy the teamwork required on silver and gold matches.
