not sure where to post this. so i loaded up steam a few days ago, dragon age had an update something about a format change.
damn thing was 8gigs and killed my internet speed, i had to download it off and on because i couldn't even get the appstore on my ipad, or my ipods. usually that runs in most cases.
what annoys me the most though is i have quite a bit of games on steam, some really big ones and this was the first and only time updating or downloading a game on steam tied up my internet. i swear the game's performance gives me a headache and even when it isn't running it has to act up.
i still say 15gigs is a bit unreasonable of a file size. to me the content doesn't justify the filsize at all.
also if anyone cares i was on here before with the unreal problems with this game. and even after isolating it on a partition and upgrading my graphics card to one with 2gigs. almost nothing has worked. i will admit there is some improvement but now the lag builds at a slightly slower pace. and so you know i got an internal graphics card i am not going to get a super high end expensive thing that most likely won't help anyway, if all i have done i 2+ years time has done nothing i doubt burning more money will do anything.
but my actual question is what the hell did the format update even do? with the hell it has put me through i want info before i dare try it myself.

but even so i would think bioware would know something. i doubt valve can modify a game without the creator knowing.
and it seems to have no effect, i loaded it up for a few seconds and that was it. i love this game but due to the issues alone getting back into playing it is a challenge. a love hate relationship in it's purest form, between me and dao. but even in the steam forms or googling steam update for dao type searches ended up being pointless. and the news for the game has noting about updates or changes in the game.
just stupid debates brought up on the net. i want to know the game's status, not see pointless arguing. i wish there was a way to filter news so only the actual important stuff shows up.
