How about Liara's child in the next Mass Effect. As a Masked Unamed Character.
just a "Crew Member" for our next galatic hero. Non-playable character just a party member
may NOT be a romance option. since you wont know gender and race hidden behind the full suit & mask.
She would be a Vagabond a Mysterious crew member. Always wears combat armor and full face helmet! She Never reveals her face,race,voice and gender.
The player would always Assume his/her crew member was just another Male Human inside the suit.
inspired by: "Samus Aran" were her face is only revealed towards the ending of the game.
Only then as the story progress towards the near end. will she slowly reavel herself. You can only hear these vague conversation as you evesdrop and pay close attention within a mssion. little by little you start to piece up the complex puzzle that is story of the character.
She'd be like. - she can disciphere ancient prothean texts revealing that her mother was an archaeologist a prothean researcher.
- she would show great prowess in utilizing her biotics reavling her grandparents to be matriachs.
- shed have a nack for collecting ship models. =maybe if shep was father
- shed have like shepard qwerks like "i should go" =maybe if shep was father
- a talented pianist
CONNECTING ME HISTORY:
-If you romance liara, the child would be like my mother always talks about my father. and the reason she is secretive is that maybe she could not hold up to her fathers or mothers accomplishments.
-If you did not romance liara, the kid would be like my mother never talked about my father. "she never told me about him and i never ask all i know is he was a great man" the father remains a mystery.
THE NAME: to add mystery, she wont reveal her name to the player
if the player asks her, she'd say: "if you must call me by something, call me No-Name." The player then sees a number on the suit. player then says: "nah, i'll call you [88]".
So it wont be a repeat of Liara/Asari taking most of the show. The Opposite it is for this character. Again the character would be a Silent Crew Member. would be found below deck/ like a one man island. And like ME1 will only give you tactical appraisal. Will Never talk about anything personal. the only few words you'd ever get is Yes and No. Plus the voice would have a digital blur again to hide any indication of gender.
Scenario: You'd find the character on the lowest deck of the ship. In the darkest corner sharpening her combat knife! and the only sound you'd hear as you approach is the grating of the blade. with only a dark silouhette to see and converse with. As the character starts to talk, two red
glowing eyes appear. when finished talking the red eyes disappear. all
the while you can never see a face.

LOOKS: similar to a cerberus phantom suit. with a smiley face or skull painted on the face of the helmet.
I thought of something like a loyalty mission in EPISODE 2 for this character.
After discovering her identity. You are shocked to findout she is the child of Liara T'soni owner and founder of the most powerful corporation in the galaxy. the young-asari would be like this ala: batman/bruce wayne style refusal to inherit the vast fortune fearing the immense power.
PostReaper War, Liara's Information Broker Business undoubtedly fills in as the galaxy Largest Information Network, Spanning different telecom industries in different worlds. Controlling the vast majority of comm bouys and quantum entanglers scaterred through out the galaxy, with a massive manufacturing subsidiaries of T'soni Industries. Heavily Backed by the Earth Alliance, Zorah family of Rannoch and Tuchanka's Urdnot Clan.
The company would be called like "T'soni Foundation/Industries" and hidden with in its closed corporate doors
lies the immense power of the Shadow Broker!
The player would either help this young ally become a force good or evil. depending on the paragon or renegade choices of the player.
The character concept is working on complex capabilities of Asari reproduction.
Her
Long Life Span, Ability to bare a child with any Species and the
ability to do so with any Gender of that species. And the ability to do
so even if the Father was gone. and the ability to do so out of choice.
lastly these grants her the ability to carry on a piece of shepard. When ever or Where ever.
Regardless if the setting is 100 yrs or a 1000 yrs after me3.
Regardless if shep is dead or alive
Regardless if shep chose to romance liara or not.
the theory or possibilty of liara child is born out of these conveniences.
