it wouldn't be a major part just a small linking between the previous me and the new. a sort of legacy per say.

i just thought it to be funny seeing  this an easter egg of a character for shepard legacy! thats why i though she'd not be a major character or romance but a bit off side but still playable.

Yeah 'cause Easter Eggs of a kid whom Shepard's dearest friend secretely raped her to get is a great idea.

if shep was gone. it'd be like liara thinking of shepard and she'd have this child as a gift for shepard. for all the great things shep has done as a good friend. nah i dont thing about it as rape asari culture would be different.

I know my Shepard, who's utterly loyal to Garrus, would never let Liara have her child. If Liara went ahead and stole her DNA and had Shepard's child, it is rape.

It would be sad to shut them [the liara fans] out completely. I think of this as a sort of gift. heh specially for femshep that "might" die with out leaving a sort of continuing legacy.

Nope. Even though I like Liara , and I would really love to see their "little blue children", she's clearly the primary love interest for Shepard in the writers' mind ---> this "favorism" upset many people (while she's not that annoying, compare to some others, like Ashley for instance... Imo, she's one of the characters that had grown the most throughout the games). Continue with it in the new game isn't a good idea. If they'd included it in the trilogy's endings for Liara romance, it might have worked. Included it in new game - bad idea.

intersting... thought of another kick back. how about garus asking liara if she had like Sheps DNA. and asks liara to have that child. and like garrus would take care of that child! awesome maybe?

Not a fan. Even though my canon PT LI was Liara, I have others where I did the other romances and do not feel that Liara melded to get pregnant at the end of the game.

Okay, no. I thought you were just misunderstood but you mean Liara would have Shepards kid regardless and you actually think theres nothing wrong with that? Asari culture may be different but Shepard is Human and in Human culture that is rape; many people get raped in their sleep or while unconscious it is still rape.  If a man got a woman pregnant after raping her it is not a gift likewise if a woman got pregnant while raping a man, do you think he wants that? And yes female on male rape does indeed happen.  Back to Mass Effect, even if Shepard was romancing Liara what makes you think they want to have a child with her? Everybody's Shepard's are different I certainly know my Liaramancer hates the idea of having children in fact my Liaramancer is my only renegade Shepard.  You are either an huge fan of Liara unwilling to let go or a troll.

If you don't think that stealing someone's DNA and having their child without their permission isn't rape you're an incredibly disturbing person.

Yeah no. It still wouldn't be Shepard's decision. Garrus can't go "Oh go ahead and have Shepard's kid without getting her permission in the matter, it's totally fine bro" that's incredibly wrong.

Is it rape if a future generation stores your genetic code and uses it in the future? I'm just not seeing how Liara having Shepard's kid without consent is rape, amoral yes, but there's no forced sexual action upon Shepard him/herself
