Seems like something Stephenie Meyers would write.

Come on the Twilight Series isn't as bad as people make them out to be, there are worse books out there after all.

Yes, it is as bad as people make it out to be and having books in existence that are worse doesn't lesson the horrifically bad writing that makes up the Twilight Series.

Thats your opinion. I like Twilight, though you have to agree with me that the ME3 ending and this idea that ME4 has Shepard and Liara's love child in it even if Liara wasn't the LI that other players choose is worse than Twilight.

I still think this idea sounds ridiculous, but if a child of Liara ever did show up it should not be Shepard's, regardless of whether or not you romanced her. Too many variables involved in that. Besides, you think she's just going to be done after Shepard? She has centuries ahead of her. Maybe she'll end up with Grunt.

Two words: child grooming.

What would add to the drama is shep didn't romance liara. And liara chose to have child  on her own account.

then the future child of sheps li meets with liara's child. would you hate or consider a half sister? :crying:

if you play your sheps child.

hypothetical but still.

Of course it's my opinion. Way to point out the obvious.

There's no way we'd play Shepard's kid. Too many variables again.

If we're just talking hypothetical headcanon, any of my Shep's children wouldn't be biologically related to her, so
there wouldn't be any connection.

Because the asari are a male fantasy. She'll be your wild sex goddess stripper, but when you get tired of that she'll enter the matron stage from the power of your vigorous sex and she'll settle down for you to be a perfect mommy to your perfect asari babies.

Only if she is a serious badass and nothing like her wimpy mother.

God I hated this blue abomination the entire ME3 game.

Hm. I dunno what you Australians can do to Austrians, but the fact that we are always being mistaken for eachother should be an argument for peace. Kay? =]

If I have learned two things on BSN they are:

1) A nerf thread on the MP forums will always result in "STFU OP".

2) There is this awful lot of casuals that pick Liara because she has so much screen time in ME3. And those who actually like her. While this is incomprehensible to me, they must have their reasons. As Casuals do not have the grey matter to look into the game's matter a little farther, those are not the ones found on BSN. And I accept that.
Nevertheless, I still hate her.

Well, consider me in your second class of people. I've definitely got my reasons, but I can accept that people don't see it the way I do.

This peace thing is nice.

I know, right? Better than these "Shut up, read more, post less." discussions.

I liked Liara in ME1 and ME2. Especially the pre-Shadowbroker ME2 look. Those metallic blue eyes....one could tell she's grown a lot up in these two years of Shepard's death. The Shadowbroker look itched me a little, but it was still nice. I thought, if they keep her that way in ME3, there's no way it will fail.

How wrong I was.

But what do I talk about here. In the end, there are neither blue babies nor houses on Rannoch.

To add to story line:
Liara's child would be like this ala: batman/bruce wayne style refusal to inherit the vast fortune fearing the immense power.

Post Reaper War, Liara's Information Broker Business undoubtedly fills in as the galaxy Largest Information Network, Span different telecom industries in different worlds.

wouldn't it be cool to have the child in conflict with inheriting this vast fortune and added responsibility due to the power it wields.

The company would be called like "T'soni Foundation" and hidden with in its closed doors lies the power of the Shadow Broker!. awesome.

and the player after discovering the identity of his/her crew member being the daughter of that corp. would be like wowed!

Maybe.  However, it could cause a level of distrust because the Protagonist could have a history with the Shadow Broker (a.k.a Liara) and the fact that Liara's child declined to take Liara's position might not take away from the fact that she is Liara's child and that Liara was the Shadow Broker.  This could also test the loyalty of the other squadmates to Liara's child.  There could be a series of arguements that would further weaken the effectiveness of the squad.

thought of something to add: character weapons the huge sword + dual wielding shot guns.

something i hope to see in me4 dual-wielding weapons. ala akimbo style but with shotguns [the rock style].

to add: PROBABLY THE FIRST IDEA HEHE!

A LIVING WEAPON: [Another alien as a weapon]

Huge Double Bladed Sword: named Thanatos [an alien creature pet as a weapon UNIQUE eh]
it would be like tali's drone except its a Sword you use hehe... or like liara's glyph.

the blade would be alive it would like breath and walk around. infused with biotics the creature stiffins into a blade and edges would create mass effect field that can through a molecular levelB) hehe.

now thats kick-ass weapon!:P

Why can't Liara have a kid with someone other than Shepard? If anything, the character should be the offspring of Wrex and Liara,

Here is how it happened:

Before Shepard took command of Normandy, Liara was doing a dig for her Ph.D thesis in the Argos Rho cluster. Because the university was worried about pirates in the area, they went to a security firm for guards for the expedition

Wrex, having just left a job for Saren before getting paid, was desperate for some cold credits, signed up. One cold night in the camp outside the ruin, by the camp fire, the two lovers' eyes met ....

Long story short, Liara is knocked up, she had the baby but hid this from everyone, even Wrex because she didn't want to get head butted by Wrex's harems.

If your new character is the love child of the asari archaeologist and a krogan warlord, I would so be interested to play that game. Otherwise no, having Liara's kid showing is stupid.
