For his kindness. We played the MP without pay monthly, for now :)

I love EA

Money is not the object...I pay gladly for quality...the key word is "quality"...bad games are a dime a dozen.

This one gets it. Others have been indoctrinated. Really.

Actually thinking about it ME3 has run two different systems in parrallel. Perhaps it's been an experiment of sorts.

On the one side you've got the SP team producing high quality (debatebly in the case of Omega) DLC which is paid for.

Then the  MP team going on the Microtransaction model, putting out free DLC, but not really supported - no bug fixes etc.

I'd prefer the high quality - fully supported, but paid for model personally. Yes the free dlc has been cool and all, but we'll never know how much better it could have been if we had to pay a few dollars for it like they've done in Borderlands 2 for example.
Some of the DLC has been quite good I think in BL2 - even if it is paid for. The trick of course is making it worth the purchase.

It's strange. I was never terribly into the weekend challenges, but now for some reason I can't find the motivation to play anymore.

Really, Really wish they had kept up the weekend challenges, even if they were just repeating all the old challenges. Gave me something to play for, now with nothing to look forward to continuing to play just feels empty.

ME3 is the only multiplayer I do, now I'll have to find something similar if that even exists, which I doubt since everything seems to be like Halo/COD style, which I really dislike.

I like Halo but have grown tired of it. ME3 mp was fresh and have enjoyed it this past year. I'm still going to play ME3 mp even though no challenges are happening but is sad to know this is the end. Looks like no more updates and the bioware team is moving full force to ME4.

Personally I wouldn't participate, there's no point to community run events, no official tracking, no official reward, no benefits to the manifest to show. Meh...

Hey guys - so yes the servers and challenge systems will keep running as long as we can keep them up but there will no longer be any organized weekend events.

Ahh well, guess I'm pretty much done then. Weekend ops were the last bit to keep me playing. :(

Anywho, good luck on the next game or whatever you may end up doing.

Now I have no motivation to keep playing ME3 MP anymore :( RIP Weekend Challenges. Guess it's finally time to have uninstalled ME3 from my PC.

They will never increase the drop rate. I am so unmotivated to play this anymore. Felt good playing a different game with friends so I really doubt I will be back.

Ok here comes a stupid question. Or at least most of you will think it is.

What is the deal with players all huddling together during MP?

Like what is the point to that. I ask because I've played a few times on diffrent levels and got players who did this. Then get killed off. They don't even revive me if I'm not in the huddle zone.
But I run to revive them.

So please someone tell me why players do this.

And no its not during an upload part of the game. I'm talking about during the game.

Thanks and....

Have A Good Day.... Have A Good Weekend

This post makes me more disappointed than I could have imagined. Why did it take so long for this announcement to be made? Why isn't there a sticky? I know the lack of communication isn't necessarily your fault, but this looks bad no matter how I look at it. I'm going to have to remember this, among many other points, before I consider buying another BioWare game in the future.

It also looks like they're not adding any further incentive to keep people interested. I understand we're not exactly entitled to anything to replace weekends ops, but a simple token of appreciation for the fans' patience and loyalty would have been nice. At the end of it all, it feels like BioWare were saying, "Oh, you're still here? Didn't you get the gist of it two weeks ago? We're done. Bye."

Funny how people have lost motivation and want to try halo/cod. Exactly how are they any different? For cod you have a manifest which can be fully unlocked quite easily and to keep playing, you reset yourself and start again called prestige, wow.
Halo personally makes me sick but id assume its the same thing, maxing manifest but game has a higher percentage of 12yr old kids. Now I have no idea if this true but its believable since its a kiddies game.

Anyway the idea is simple, play in moderation. No matter what game it is, playing constantly will bore your nuts off. EA are also not going to shutdown servers anytime soon since the mass effect trilogy is on sale and only been a few weeks since reckoning. Take your time, if you max your manifest great, if not, really what does it matter? You survived this long with your other measly weapons and you had fun along the way . . .

"...the servers and challenge systems will keep running as long as we can keep them up" - the game is only a year old - this is pathetic, but exactly what I expect from EA.  Yes, we are all looking forward to ME4 but it cannot take much effort to program the weekly events.  Plus the suggestion that the MP servers may not be around for that long.  People are playing, people are spending money and this is how we get treated?  :?

Until Halo 4, the only things to unlock by playing multiplayer were new armour pieces for you character. Even Halo 4 tells you what you're going to unlock along with when and how you can unlock it.

I'm sorry if this was discussed previously: Bioware did set up weekend challenges for about a year now. Are there any reasons at all why they could not let them repeat every year?

I could see that working. Well except the holliday ones would have to be the same unless they tweeked them just so. So yeah it could work on a random layout.

Would keep more comming back I think.
