The wording in that would seem to indicate that the weekend challenges are over, specifically:

"Participated" = past tense
And in the second paragraph, it sounds like the challenge system they're talking about is the standard always-on in-game one, i.e. points with shotguns, etc.

I do quite like that whenever there's bad news to be delievered, NPlewes is drafted in to deliver it. They know we can never stay mad at him. One day, future civilisations will dig up this message board, and they'll come to see you as a spectre of death.

You sir have earned my personal respect and appreciation for having the chutzpah to clearly define the status of any future weekend challenges.
That said, with the current store and UR/Commendation weapons situation I think I'm done here. Time to move on a look to another game that will continue to be suported for some time to come. Deeply saddened.
Would it help if I sent you guys some cash? Could we fix this with a kickstarter or money?
