I'm trying really hard to suppress my sarcastic impulse here, but please, explain in what way that was even the slightest bit ambiguous? He affirmatively stated what will be continued -- servers, challenge system, and N7 HQ -- and stated that the team was moving on to other projects.

I assume they mean that the servers will continue to update and store the challenge information and N7HQ information, but it technically could mean more than that.

A patch would have been nice, but I played since the demo and I probably still have a little bit left in me to keep me playing for at least a while.
At least this means some of the more beneficial bugs will stick around as well.

Might as well start warp+imcendiary ammoing all the things since that is apparently just part of the game now and not a bug to be fixed

Sad indeed, but at least they have made it official now.
Hopefully that means we'll begin receiving info on their current projects (ie DA3, ME). The anticipation and excitement while reading dev blogs and watching update vids is pure awesome.
As a head's up BW, and not sure if it would ever happen but, Jade Empire was cool. Would love to see it resurrected, but in a more serious fashion, like ME. How cool would that be? Waaaay cool.

I kinda let my skeptical side get ignored. I bought the game going "I shouldn't get too attatched to MP, its EA they will kill it the moment they are done pushing the current game for sales.
Its a shame too, the multiplayer was supposed to have been a stand alone game, I would have preferred it at this point. At least then we would have obtained more than a year of support, or something maybe.
Despite having so much more left to unlock, I don't really want to bother with it because at any point they may just go "welp done here" and all that effort just vanish into the nether known as EA's giant pit of games.

I hate that Bioware has had to basically say "we'll keep it alive as long as we can"! Why not let MP run for years, plenty of other games do? I mean look at Starcraft 2, team fortress 2 etc. God I hate EA!

That's cool, but I've never paid out any real money at the RNG store, I've purchased all the DLC however. I don't think many players do part with their real, hard earned cash, so if that's what it takes to keep ME3 MP alive then it's all over!
