No sarcasm towards the XBOX players is indented in what follows at all. Loads of speculation about Bioware's behaviour though.

Can someone explain to me why are people having a go at those who paid and downloaded the game yesterday on the XBOX by telling them that they were playing a 'leaked' game that wasn't ready to be released yet, blame Microsoft and be thankful to Bioware for pulling it in order to fix it?

The reason I ask this question is that if the game was not ready yet then how was it allowed to be on Microsoft's XBOX servers? Doesn't that mean that Bioware send it to them ready for release, having performed all their tests and just awaiting there for the agreed time to be released?

Or should everybody really thank Microsoft for 'leaking' the DLC to the XBOX players and thus provide Bioware with the necessary 'test team (the XBOX players)' to find all the bugs with RtO, as we already know that Bioware are stretched quite thinly with all the projects that they have running at the moment. (Mass Effect 2, RtO, Awakening, DA fixes for all platforms & whatever issues may prop up with the release of Mass Effect 2).

So, as a PC player myself that has never touched an XBOX, I sincerely and gratefully thank you the XBOX players and I hope that Bioware will reward you for your hard work yesterday!

Can't you step back from what YOU WANT for two seconds and look at it from their side of the fence?

You know..walk a mile in their shoes?    A 5 dollar dlc...and so much uproar, threats ..etc going on..you would think it was World War III.

Short-sighted...

$5 piece of DLC x say, 500K (1/3 of console owners only) customers is still $2.5 million in revenue.  Could be higher, could be lower.  it's just as important to them as it is to us.  Getting it done, and doing it right will make EVERYONE a happy camper.

From the looks of things..we have been getting info we require...AS THEY RECEIVE IT.    They can't give what they don't have.

Yeah because you are just one of those people that take their word as gold....I don't because there is more information, they just release the information that covers their behind.

No...I am not ..I will debate things..if I think its warranted.    This case scenario doesn't warrant it in my view.

Just looks like alot of "entitlement" going on..alot of erroneous speculation and conspiracy building, meanwhile these guys are working their tails off trying to fix whats going on behind the scenes.

Can't you step back from what YOU WANT for two seconds and look at it from their side of the fence?

I have witnessed this from the first day they first announced that RTO was coming...its never ending.   I am surprised they haven't shut us all down...period.

In other words..you'll get it when its ready...and thats that.

Its not as if Bioware is sitting there doing nothing.   They already have specifically stated they are examining all platforms currently for these glitches, bugs, what have you...more than likely to prevent any further delays than absolutely necessary.

So whats your problem?

They're just complaining for attention, if they were even remotely serious about themselves or their point, they would have already decided not to support the DLC and would therefore stop caring when it is going to come out.

So true. You see it on any game forum. I always love this pic, because it perfectly discribes the online gaming community.

$5 piece of DLC x say, 500K (1/3 of console owners only) customers is still $2.5 million in revenue.  Could be higher, could be lower.  it's just as important to them as it is to us.  Getting it done, and doing it right will make EVERYONE a happy camper.

To be fair, your situation is far more personal. Its hard to be honest with a few hundred thousand people. This doesn't change the fact that this was a rather large blunder all the way though, and we don't want to see it happen again.

You're saying I'm short-sighted? :D  hehe more like a good majority of the people on this forum are.   They can't see beyond the tip of their own noses, they can't fathom that there might be more than what meets the eye..technical difficulties that can't be solved by snapping one's fingers.

I'm still having a hard time believing that RtO is being bogged down by technical issues.  For one, people have already completed the PC version with no issues.  The 360 version also has been completed by those who downloaded it yesterday and some even without issue.  Combined with multiple announcements of launch preparedness...  Well 2+2 ya know...

So not being able to see more than meets the eye...

Oh I"m sure EA's bean counters come into this at some point or other..but the bean counters aren't responsible for long nights fixing software glitches.

No, but they ultimately provide the numbers that decide your fate as a late-night bug fixer.  Trust me when I say no one would be doing any bug-fixes if it weren't for the cost of not doing it and the potential profit in getting it done.
