Nope, no magic wand. There are however bugs for everyone! :wizard:

I can just imagine conversations between you and your "customers" ..probably very enlightening...LOL

You need to learn how to quote properly...No, my opinion is not the only one valid, you are just causing problems with people who want to vent their fustration...you are the problem, you are not the fix, not the help, the problem. And my customers are give by far more respect than I will ever give you.

It's not about "delays" more so the fact they have said oh yeah this will be available twice now fine the original date didn't work out then yesterday oh yeah it will be available for PC users later today. I don't see it. If it's going to be late just say it and let it be late instead of giving people false promises. In any customer service business in real life if you told a customer something would be available they came in and it wasn't you would lose that customer. Lucky for bio ware they make good games :P

I wonder if there is a way of counting the number of unique hits on this website, specifically clicks that have to do with RtO status/release date. It'd be interesting to see what the trends were since Christmas.

good call on the plans...i should have said that too considering how many times i have had extremely long delays/layovers/being stuck in the plane for 2 hours on the tarmac and not being able to leave the plane

You know..

I once went on a journey of enlightenment when i was much younger. I travelled to China and Tibet, and while I was there i went up one of the many duey mist covered mountains to a sacred temple that had for thousands of years been a place of worship for the local monks...

After 3 gruelling hours I finally made it to the temple ruins, took of my boots (as a mark of respect you see) and proceeded into and through the old temple. Once I had made my way through, I saw some smoke coming from atop a nearby outcrop of the mountain. I slowly and carefully made my way to where the smoke was originating from and upon getting to the clearing at the top, was met by the face of a wisened and old monk smoking...

He beckoned for me to come over and sit beside him, which I did, he withdrew his home made pipe and said in avery wheezy faint voice..

"You seek enlightenment my child yes?", Naturally I replied yes, trying to conceal my excitement..

You know what the old bastard said?

Far as I remember..the FIRST promise was..over the holiday season......we weren't given an actual date..til Jan 5th..

So since Jan 5th its been 9 days?   Holiday season included a couple days in January..or so the debate went.

I still don't get what all the fuss, bother ..gnashing of teeth is all about.   I am a PC owner, I am waiting patiently for this dlc to finally become available.

I am not sitting here bewailing my fate, nor cussing out Bioware because it hasn't happened the way they thought.   I also don't think its the end of the world..or that my world and my fate/destiny all rely on this one piddly little dlc ...coming into being.

Sooooo...whats wrong with me?   *laughs*

Well it clearly not as extreme a thing as getting stuck on a plane for 3 hours, but still.

There's a lot of back and forth going on, which is great as I think this is a great topic to debate, but I think that not an incredible amount of progress is being made. I'm hoping we can try and summarize the situation a little better so that we can find some common ground.

From what I can gather, the major points of contention are:
  • The many delays that RtO has suffered from.
  • The fact that Bioware has made several release announcements, only to go back on them.
  • The lack of information regarding the "why" of these delays.
  • The poor flow of information stemming from the "release issues" that arose yesterday.
  • The fact that Bioware has not been forthcoming with information since then.
  • That it would be a good will gesture to the community for Bioware to offer "something".
Please feel free to let me know if I am missing anything here.

The counter points being made (that I have been a part of) have been the following:
  • The fact that as the product has not yet been released, consumers remain unaffected.
  • That as we have not paid for this content as of yet, that we are not entitled to compensation.
  • That while communication has been poor, the team still deserves the benefit of the doubt.
  • The fact of the matter is that delays can and will happen, and the team needs leeway to correct the problems.
  • That for the PC and PS3 users, they have not experienced any problems relating to this issue.
I think we have agreed that:
  • 360 users whose game has been affected by the patch/DLC should be compensated.
  • That the Bioware community should learn from this and attempt to fix/avoid these issues in the future.
Please let me know if I have made any errors or omitted any facts.

@jellmoo32: i agree with you except that i don't feel that bioware owes compensation to the 360 users. M$ released it erroneously and (conspiracy theory) it might have been the old bugged version.
