It doesn't make them look good as a company, and they need to cut that @#$% in the future, or people will get pissed and stop even checking for new content.

Hate to disappoint, but it wasn't that great. I don't want to spoil it, but if I told you some of the things that alistair doesn't react to, in any way... You might actually cry because hes not crying.Dahelia wrote...

I really don't care about a discount or anything. Honestly I didn't have high expectations for this DLC but strangely after all the delays I'm expecting it to be the most epic 30-45mins in history lol
More than epic...more than epic...you will win the game.

I play a lot of games, so I know all too well the dreaded "delayed until next year!" post for a new game coming out. However when 3 dates are set, and only 3, then missing them all and only getting it because microsoft makes a mistake and releases it early, I get ticked.
It doesn't make them look good as a company, and they need to cut that @#$% in the future, or people will get pissed and stop even checking for new content.
Whoa Twist...whoa...you deserve this.

Those of us who bought points when there was nothing to spend them on have only ourselves to blame. We didnt buy RtO. We bought points to be used for any future DLC, nothing more. RtO may be delayed a long while yet. So be it. Considering the luck that they seem to have been having in regards to this DLC, i wouldnt be surprised to see it happen.
They owe you nothing so quit asking for entitlements.

Quite a few people in this thread seem to think they speak for the majority of us DA gamers. I would like to see their official endorsement given to them by the rest of us here. The OP is also given away Microsoft's money too. I am sure they would more than happy to go along with that. rofl.

Heh so right. Starting to think this dlc has been jinxed and that we might not see it for a long while.
Meanwhile back at the ranch, will the cacophony die down? Probably not....*sigh*

RtO should be release ASAP if for no other reason than it'll keep her off the boards for an hour.

Nope, it won't my lovely little harasser. I am actually on DA:O right this minute. Also, we are on topic, just part off topic. You need to knock it off, your little thing with harassing me over comments on the internet is getting out of hand.

If they owe us nothing then, likewise, we owe them nothing. That includes our patronage. If, however, they want our patronage, even our consumer loyalty, then perhaps it behooves them to do more than the absolute bare minimum of what we are "owed".Mr. Eight wrote...
Game delays are nothing new. Get used to it.
BioWare and EA owe us nothing.
And, to be perfectly honest, I paid BioWare good money in good faith for a product they officially and publically announced would be released within hours. They now have my money. They did not release their product. How do you come to the conclusion that they do not owe me anything?

Perhaps inserting "my" and I ...in your sentences would help...you don't speak for me ...you might ask others in this thread if you speak for them however. *nod*

The statement was made in regards to the OP's assertion that BioWare/EA should initialize some kind of discount program regarding future DLC, not those who attempted to purchase RtO in the few hour window in which it was available to be paid for, but not for actual download.
To make it short, BioWare does not owe us a discount.

Asking for some kind of refund or discount is stupid as hell.
I don't feel entitled to a discount, but I don't see why folks who bought points, expecting the DLC to be part of their holiday playthroughs, shouldn't expect a refund if they no longer wish to purchase RtO. Waiting for the DLC is one thing for folks who continue to play the game. Quite another for those who are done with it. If refunds aren't available, Bioware will have made it quite clear that it's unwise to buy points for oneself or as a gift until there is a stable release of the content it's to be spent on.

No, they don't. They should however improve their plans for DLCs. Can't make it? Probably going to need to delay it? Don't set a date yet.Mr. Eight wrote...

I'm not sure whether or not I agree with this. Theoretically speaking, BioWare could claim that folks bought those points for any number of things. It's difficult to prove the statement "I deserve a refund because I bought points for one specific product in which I am no longer interested".
On the other hand, what recourse do people who are just plain done with the whole thing have?
