I'll usually join in to kick unless I happen to like the player with the X's more than the people trying to get him kicked, in which case I'll put my kick vote on one of the players voting to kick instead.

On PC gold I see little support for kicks, even of players with under 120 N7. It's especially frustrating if I'm hosting, but I've just made it a rule that if there's more than one person I'll have to carry, I leave the lobby.

If a player has 2 X's on them then that means they aren't favoured by half the people in the lobby. That very reason could be because they look inexperienced (Avenger VII on Gold) or they were carried a previous match. I just carried a team of two for 42 minutes my last game so I handled that matter the best way I know how; with expletives. Sometimes people don't kick just to be mean. It's for the good of the game more often than not.

Actually it means that they aren't favored by 66% of the people...because it's only 4 people..and the person you're kicking can't kick himself...so it only takes three people to kick..which means 2 people is two thirds...not half. Math lesson over.

I don't like to kick people. Some of them surprise you, and others just need credits for better equipment.

EDIT: Also, it's my opinion that if we want ME MP to stay allve, we need to support new players. If a new player buys the game and gets kicked from every lobby he's not going to stick around very long. Help them out, for the good of the community and all. I really don't want this game to turn into an elitest hub like other older games.

I agree. Well said, bro.

I agree with the guy that got me into gold.

I support them: in Bronze or Silver.  *shrug*-- whatever.  I've carried enough that I know if I leave the lobby and they don't get real lucky with the next person who joins, they won't be extracting.

Tired of people joining Gold and Plat who have no business there.  I played bronze for a couple months, silver for a couple months before I went to gold.

Unless someone gets on the mic and tells me why we are kicking someone (since I just got to the lobby and have no idea what happened last game) then no. Most of the time, the kicks I see are BS in nature. So not just no but hell no. As long as I play this game I will always support the newbies and help them out as best I can. And I will sit in your lobby not kicking until YOU give up and leave, just for funsies.

I'll support your kick if I see a reason for it. If there is no reason for it, I may consider you a jerk and just find another lobby instead.

Not everyone belongs on Gold and most of you don't see that. I got kicked from every gold lobby up until 600 N7 and I'm proud that I was. I would've gotten carried for sure. You may like wasting all six medigel by wave 5 but I certainly don't.

Good luck getting me to leave. I'm always host and I doubt you'd want to wait the 2-3 minutes for it to migrate (strongly dependent on the most stable connection that is able to connect to others). I would just play around on one of my other consoles.

I have about 32mbps Verizon Fios and it takes about 2-3 minutes every time JUST TO SELECT ME. That's why I never play off-host.

I always leave every lobby I get into with two kicks. I'm not really a fan of kicking, and try to avoid it unless the circumstances are exceptional (I'm looking at you AIU guy who refused to join the hack and got downed literally at least 30 times).

I was once the third person to put a kick vote on - then I left myself and found another lobby.

Pretty much this, minus the anti AIU sentiment. 90% of the time if I see people trying to kick someone, I just end up leaving rather then kicking.

If I see a couple of X's on someone where I don't think it's really warranted I leave - everyone's happy.

I support kick votes. They're there for a reason. If you want to play martyr, tutor, guru, etc then find your pet projects in silver. I don't need the extra stress and anxiety caused by teammates who are obviously just not ready for gold/plat.

Yes sometimes people will surprise you and play well despite terrible loadouts less than optional equipment choices. But that's the exception and not the rule.

People are so concerned about harming others' self-esteem... "hey you were fourth place winner! excellent work!" That kind of thinking teaches people nothing.

I feel bad that you feel bad for kicking someone. Do you feel bad in other games when people vote down a particular map or game type? Stop coddling everyone and they'll stop taking things so personal.

Unless the player was abussive, griefing or cheating I NEVER kick.

I consider kickers who kick for loadout, low N7, low charcacter or poor performance etc. to be idiots.

And I consider leech supporters to be much bigger idiots.

oh how I loathe this line of thinking. plus, you contradict yourself. you were just abusive towards kickers.

I'll give you that.  I shouldn't have used "idiots"

I just don't agree with kicking players who just want to play. I prefer to help when I can.

And as far as leechers go? I've never met one.  It's a BSN myth (at least on PS3) IMHO

I meet plenty of over optimistic players who should be in SIlver, but I've never met anyone who just hides and hopes the rest will carry them.  Plus, if I really wanted to guarantee the level of players I would play private matches.

I enjoy playing with enthusiastic noobs, maybe that makes me strange, but that's how I am. :)

Last night I played an FBWGG with 3 french guys. 2 were utterly useless but at least they were trying.  We wiped on wave 10 when I was last man standing. But it was still fun for me

I don't ever kick....for the most part like hostaman mentioned, i never met guy that actually hides or doesn't do anything. Most pugs i've met actually try hard to win. I was in a gold lobby and a low n7 guy came into the lobby....two xx's came immediately...i sent the leader a message saying "give him a chance"

Now the guy wasn't that good (in game) but he was clearly trying his best...i remember topping the board and the leader coming in very close behind me, but that other guy came in last, but at least he was trying...i guess the leader still didn't like it because he left afterwards.

The only time i can really understand a kick is if the guy is in plat and like a level 1or2 with no gear at all...haha...that will be a "mercy" kicking...Image IPB

In those cases the said person probably don't even know what platinum is...

I need a good reason to kick. Not helping with the objectives, going AFK is enough for me. Weapon loadout not so much. Yesterday I had a platinum game where a N7 ~100 Turian Sentinel with a Vindicator outscored a AIU with a Reegar. Seriously, how is this even possible...
