Hey Bioware, can I get a buff female hero in DAI?

As for Femshep.... I don't play as her but maybe a little more substance would be good.

They need to make it looks like the character creator of the SWTOR, there you can choose the physical of your character.

Allows customization.
Like, in Saints Row 2-3 you can manually select how buff your character is. So if you want to have the kind of girl who can crush a man's head with her bare hands you can have that.

Its really not hard. ME1's Ashley, KOTOR's Exile, Dragon Age's Eleanor, Wynne and Aveline. All of them are good strong characters that use practicality and intelligences over sex appeal, (Well, except the Exile since she's a PC, so she's kind of on the fence), and if people complain about those qualities, then you know you're doing something right.

I've never been able to take any of the female protagonists in Bioware games seriously, they were capable of great physical tasks all the time while having the body shape of a full time office worker who has never lifted anything heavier than a pack of printer paper.
I'd really like Bioware to implement a body build slider even if it means that they have to make sacrifices.

At the very least, give the female PC a better physique than the generic female NPCs that have seen no combat.

I would approve of one like Dragon's Dogma, you can change anything there, including height, weight and muscle mass.
Dragon's Dogma did it perfectly - your character can be anything from a twig, to built like a house, and the armor pieces scale approprietly over your character's body.
I have to second this, Dragon's Dogma has one of the most fun and (from what I have experienced) detailed character creators available. Though for a game like DA which is much more cinematic, there would have to be a limit on things like height because of cutscenes. Something like muscle tone however would be totally fine.

Am I supposed to be surprised that BSN regulars don't know that 99% of females can't put on muscle mass naturally, without testosterone and growth hormones?
Yes. This is the BSN.

It would be extra work no doubt, but I'd appreciate the effort. Especially as someone who plays Warriors almost exclusively.

And let's talk about the fact that I have muscles without trying and I'm a woman, large boned meaning my thumb and middle finger have never come together when I placed them around my wrist. My time in the service gave me neck and back muscles definition (not huge just defined) like nobody would believe and of course the definition of my arms and legs was much more obvious by the end of my term of service. And now years later I still have the definition and have added muscle bulk as I aged. My point, Shepard might have looked like she does (not the hands and wrists) when she first went in but at thirty and after 10 plus years of service it isn't realistic.
Edit: And to be honest it's what keeps me from playing a female Shepard a majority of the time. I just can't get over the unrealism of the shape of female Shepard. DA2 didn't have a chance with me because of the voice, but certainly the idea that a mage and a warrior female Shepard would have the same body shape is just silly to me.
Added: And I am by no means looking for a female as buff as male Hawke. But on the other spectrum I would like if I am playing as a male PC to have the option of him being less muscular, while still maintaining some buff based on his abilities.

Fascinating. One learns so much here, especially about women.

So, how much practical experience do you have with that subject to back up your claim?
All I can say is that a friend of mine is a hobby athlete (pole vaulting) and she recently started to lift weights (I got her into it) just for the heck of it, she got quite bulky in only a couple of months without taking any kind of hormones or drugs.
And surprisingly enough she still doesn't look like man because her muscles fibers increased in thickness.
I think its funny that people here make ridiculous claims about body shape while having evidently zero experience with sports, weight lifting and the female body.

I know what you mean about femshep. I was amazed in ME3 when she gave Kaidan a fireman's lift on Mars, because he's not a small guy.
I suppose the character creator (as in Dragons Dogma) would satisfy most people. But I would worry if time is spent on developing something like this, would it take away resources from elsewhere?
I would prefer a better Character Creator over some side-quests involving insane bloodmages/templars.
yes better character creator

That's a nice anecdote, but my point still stands. Less than 1% of females are genetically predisposed to gaining muscle mass, and even they are "capped" pretty low compared to men.

I think a slider would be good because yeah, a woman swinging a longsword is going to need those back and shoulder muscles, but I frankly just don't care for the look of a beefed-up female body. For those who want it, sure, put in sliders. For those who don't, it would be nice to reduce the muscle mass and keep the definition.

Well what's wrong with the PC being that 1%? Hence why a slider would be really nice. There would be something for everyone then.
