Is it better to get weapons with boosts to spellpower or magic?
I know magic increase effectiveness of potions and I think mental resistance, but does it help enough to worry about it or is it just better to look for high spellpower boosts. I notices in a lot of the more expensive higher end mage staffs, they have high boosts to spellpower and not magic.

Spellpower is a secondary stat based on magic. I haven't noticed any substantial enhancement to potions (I'm sure they're there, but it doesn't seem to be worth paying attention to) with increases in the magic primary stat, but basically anything that increases your spellpower is good. As I understand it, increased spellpower means your spells do more damage and are harder to resist.

Cool, that's what I kinda figured. I really do not use postions all that much so I've never noticed a benefit from magic.

Increased magic also increases spellpower 1-for-1 but has many other positive effects (affects AW armor/weapons, increases mental resistance, better healing effects). So, +1 magic is better than +1 spellpower. However, an amulet that gives +3 spellpower is perhaps "as good as" or "better than" one that gives +2 magic...it really depends on what the comparison is.
