So of the 8% who sabotage the cure, 3.8% do it by shooting Mordin? So 4.2% persuade Mordin to sabotage?

I'd imagine that Kaidan dying a lot is only because of more people playing manshep. If you start a ME2 game (no import) malesheps get Ash, femsheps get Kaiden. I'd imagine it's the same in a non-import ME3.

No you get to choose, I imagine that's because Manshep/Kaidan romances weren't cut this time.

You can shoot the VS.

Where do these stats come from?

It's a bit of a bizarre one. I'm guessing it refers to combat "deaths" rather than proper plot related permadeaths, seeing as several squaddies can only die during a Low-EMS beam run.

You can also get the Virmire Survivor killed and in the Low EMS beam charge anyone is up for death.

The soldier thing isn't weird though...

Throughout all 3 games, soldier has ALWAYS been the most popular choice...even in ME1, when biotics were hilariously overpowered and the combat was the least like a 3PS, soldier was STILL the most popular choice by far.

People just like the relative simplicity of shooting things in the head...

I would be interested in stats like...
How many coppies were returned after the release ? Or How many people really liked their endings ? or even How many people actually finished a game ?

Nothing special for me about the stats they are consistant with the other Mass Effect. The most shocking thing is people surprised by Male Shepard overwhelming popularity and such.

Some of these stats don't even make sense; how can Vega have a survival rate almost 30% higher than Liara's? How did Liara apparently die almost half the time?

Also, the fact that more people sided with the geth than the quarians, almost everyone killed Kaidan, and over half of all players cured the genophage with Wreav in charge are all pretty facepalm-worthy to me.

You gotta realize, those stats were taken by all ME3 players in whatever way they may have collected it. And we are but a small bunch of nerds in here, considering the number of copies they sold for the third game alone.

Thus, the "mainstream" results.

I want to see these mythical stats that Bioware have that says people who dislike the ending are a vocal minority, because all the data I have seen says otherwise.

All the data you have seen is mostly on these forums or online.  Most people who play these games rarely care enough to talk about it.  My brother never posts on forums or reads geek speak online and he finished the game and didn't have a negative opinion of the ending.  He didn't even know about the Extended Cut until after it was out and I told him about it.  He said he really had little interest in going back and playing DLC (which he rarely does for any game).

I would think he represents the largest number of gamers...casual and not as emotionally invested.

The femshep x maleshep numbers show how a minority this forum represents.

Essentially a mainstream response is MEH

They played it, maybe enjoyed.. won't go back to it.

They bought a copy thats all that matters

This is true. If we were eyeballing statistics based on just BSN, the conclusion would be that maleShep/FemShep divide would be much closer to 50/50 or at least 60/40.

Yes but I know several guys who can't be arsed to go online who have played the ME trilogy and hated the ending, I remember getting 4 phone calls the week it came out asking me what they did wrong and was this the ending.

I never pay too much attention to these statistics.

For starters, these kinds of statistics rely on COMPLETED game data, and internet connection.

But on a more important note, 64% of players don't get Wrex in ME3? **** that, now I KNOW that data is BS.

The most passionate people tend to also be the most vocal on their point of view.  And this is their forum...so you hear it enough here that it creates an illusion that it must represent the entire player base.

Curious. Does EDI's "survival rate" take the Destroy ending into account?

You'd think it'd be far lower.

Wrex is only there if you imported saves from earlier games.
