I tried the whole "couples" thing in high school... but, I make a terrible girlfriend! So, we couldn't get to that stage of gaming together...

My boyfriend doesn't play ME but he's watched me play most of the trilogy and we're in the same room when I'm playing MP. He's gotten very amused at me talking smack (off mic) while I'm playing and frequently serves as my cheering squad. We used to play Ghost Recon together when we first started dating in 2004 though.

We used to duo the weekend ops. It was great fun, especially things like Prophecy. Part of the reason that I'm sad the ops are over. Also she sometimes insists I play a Volus to amuse her.

Whats a "female"...

But it would be fun to have a constant companion in this game.

My husband isn't a gamer sadly. Even if he were, I doubt I could train him to go beyond Silver difficulty :\\.

I got into gaming because of my ex-bf convincing me to try MP with him (UT2004). Later I also played NWN with him and, after we split up, NWN with my flatmate in the same room. It does set up a more shared camaraderie when you're sat next to your teammate. I've been young, free and single through most of ME3 mp tho and my new bf has zero time for gaming, so I don't see it happening with ME3.

I do however have 3 different couples on my friends list and they are all great to play with. Couples make great teammates as, even if they aren;t on mic, you know they are talking to each other, so you get some very coordinated teamplay.

You should maybe start a group, no? Would make finding a 4 person team much easier. The number of times I have been in lobby with 2 others and one of the couples msgs me and I have to say no because there isn't enough space is ridiculous.

Have fun :)

Totally.  I've got some folks on my friends list who are roomies or friends in real life and I get that too.  It's pretty nifty.

My wife and I both play. We have a dual PS3 setup. The couple that slays together stays together!

I've been cheated on three times and laughed at by any other girl that I've asked out, so I've given up on ever dating again.

I know the feel, bro.

Actually, I don't think I could call it cheating, but yeah.  I skip the whole laughed at thing by not asking anyone.  Its worked well so far.

I don't know where people locate these females that play vidya games such as we of the mixed chromosomes do (I.E. first & third person shooters that aren't Left4Dead).

Is there a protected habitat for them?  A kind of sanctuary I, well, still probably wouldn't go anywhere near because that would be awkward and I don't really see anything positive coming from it.

I should go.:bandit:

On a topic related note: My ex and I played Left4Dead & Left4Dead 2 alot together, as well as some MMOs and LoL.  She's found someone more her type, though.  Couldn't get her into Mass Effect, though.  She didn't like the combat parts.  Multiplayer wouldn't have worked like this, I think.

My husband introduced me to gaming and created a monster.  Now I'm completely addicted and play more than he does.  We also have a side by side set up with a bed for the cats between us.  It's great family time.  With swearing.  Image IPB

Not in my house. I'm on xbox and my wife is on PC. Though ME3 MP is a family affair, with my brothers and nephew playing together often

My GF and I play--I play more than she, but she's a better player. She hates gaming with other people, so it's almost always duo when we play together.

I doubt I'd find a gf that cool, but my parents game together all the time. They're on Xbox, and mostly stick to CoD and Borderlands. They're the only reason I have a 360, come to think of it. I play Borderlands with them sometimes, but they've been talking about getting ME3. When that happens, I'll be starting over with an Xbox manifest.

I think Dunvi and Durza are a hot item, but they're really freaky and open. I've had to fend off both of them from jumping my bones at various points.

interdasting. go on...

It's kind of cute and disturbing at the same time. We were plat-farming, dunvi was playing Demolisher with a Claymore and Durza was a TSol. I was an AIU. Apparently this inspired them to describe in elaborate detail the incredibly filthy things our respective characters would be doing with one another.
Let's just say I didn't bother thinking about whether or not EDI had a tongue (and how it could be utilized) until that night.
It was cute because they were finishing each other's sentences while describing this incredibly disgusting activity.
It was disturbing because... you know what, there are some things man was not meant to know.

Well I'd say the one thing in common here is you. Not all women. Not all women do that, and that is a fact. NO I do not think you are deficient in any way- they were just obviously "wrong" for you or whatever. That said ..well you've had some bad times. Don't give up? Maybe? Fatalism: it sucks.

Also no. I did with my ex oddly enough but obviously the whole "ex" part of that means we no longer game together though I won't blame ME3's ending for it...but it might be a participating factor. :P
