Nova says your barrier strength determines its intensity. I know that means more barrier is better but I'm not sure exactly how it works.  If it's just by the percentage of your current barrier strength then it's simple. But I'm wondering if it means the actual current strength value. Like is a barrier level of 1000 twice as good as a barrier with 500? What I want to know is if increasing my maximun shields increased the power of Nova, or does it only matter that it's at 100% when I use it.

the amount of barrier you have has no relation with the damage output of the nova. what does matter is the percentage of your barrier. for example, a nova used at 30% barriers is less damaging than a nova used at 50% or 100% barrier

Its determined by percentage, not total amount. So lets say ur Barrier is at 100% and ur Nova does 500 damage. Then ur Nova will do 500 * 1 = 500. Though now lets say ur Barrier is at 60%, ur Nova will do 500 * .6= 300.

Good to know. I thought it worked like that because it gives a specific number for damage and if it wasn't percentage based then that number wouldn't mean much.
