A thread to talk about characters we've seen before and who we'd like to see come back as them.

My list?

1. Leliana
2. Jowan
3. Cullen

Jowan is a controversial choice but I think he could be pulled off by the fact he's a Blood Mage and that means you could justify him surviving whatever the hell happened to him in the first game (including the PC executing him). It would also be a good chance to show consequences for actions.

I also want to see what happened to Lily.

Leilana, obviously, is just set up and if you're going to do a Orlaisian story then there's no one better than her for introducing the land.

Cullen because, why not?

Bringing back love interests as companions for a new player character is a bad idea.

It would show the opposite: a lack of consequences. It wouldn't matter what the Warden decided to do with him if he just survived anyway.

I'd like to see a party of almost entirely new characters (that said, I haven't read Asunder, so no comments on characters pulled from there.) It's very likely Cassandra will be a party member, and that would be interesting since we don't really know her yet. I could possibly see Leliana as well since she's involved with the same group of rogue Seekers. I don't think any other characters could return as party members without being contrived.

Hope this doesn't sound rude, but umm why do you need to know? I mean curiosity is all well and good, but if you don't like him then I doubt anything anyone says will change your mind, but if you do like him it would probably be something you've heard before know what I mean?

I wouldn't mind Jowan being a companion, but to properly work he'd have to be possibly not be there. You might also have to have lots of companions, and maybe one to optionally replace him, so that players don't feel like they're being punished for making a specific choice.

Jowan would, however, be wonderful for a cameo. Even moreso if he had a different cameo in a different time and place for his Circle and "Leave and never return" fates. Since his "Leave" option is bugged, it'd be a great way to reestablish what he does with his life.

Back on-topic... er, Guardsman Donnic. Because why not.
