I'm a newb at using the DA: Origins toolset, and just wanted to clarify something regarding editing resources.
I'd like to modify a few in-game resources ("Creatures") to make certain items stealable and/or droppable. For exame, First Enchanter Irving wears the "Ring of Resistance," but you can't steal it because he has it equipped. I found his resource and edited the ring to "Not Equipped," then I exported without dependent resources, and saved. Now, when I go back into the Toolset after closing out, the ring is back to the way it was, not having saved my changes.
Can someone please clarify if this is ok, or if I need to do something else to get my changes to stay?
Thanks very much!

I found what the Toolset expored, and just pasted all of the .utc files in Packags/Core/Overrides. Will this do the trick? I wanted to make the ring stealabe, make the complete Templar Armor drop, and make the Ceremonial Armored Gloves drop.
Thanks again~

I would recommend doing this in a non-destructive format. Make an addin to the main campaign and create a copy of the resources involved, and use a script to spawn the creature containing the stealable ring in the location you want him/her to be in.
