I have a feeling they'll be marketing the male and female PC at the same time, which is better than what usually happens I suppose, but after all the exclusive marketing male character have recieved before I think it would be cool if they don't advertise the male PC this time around at all.
Edit: nevermind.
I don't think it would be productive in terms of marketing or social justice.

A trailer that emphasizes that you can create your own character, of any gender, appearance or class, should be forefront in the advertising. Not promos that showcase a default protag that Bioware's Marketing department whipped up.

They won't advertise just a female PC and certainly won't put her on the cover because the primary demographic that plays video games is afraid of women or some bull. Seriously, Levine saying that you can't put a female on the front of a game cover because he thought it'd hurt sales is such a steaming pile of sh-t, I hope developers quit pandering to this dated stereotype about gamers it's ridiculous. If those idiots at Naughty Dog managed to get a chick on the cover of Last of Us I don't see why more developers don't fight with their publishers and take a freaking stand.

I'd rather the game be made as enjoyable as possible, with the idea of making a "statement" or "taking a stand" as secondary, if not tertiary, concerns for a developer.

Surprisingly enough, making a game fun and have it being socially progressive AREN'T things that naturally go hand in hand.

Often I find these "statements" make the experience less enjoyable.

Are seriously taking that stance on the BSN?

But you'll already be able to play as a male or female PC, why would using a female PC in advertisements have any effect on development at all?

It'd sell less copies, cutting support and DLC.

I think this would cover, every angle. Representation of women in the new marketing drive, capturing a new market segment and making money. Everybody wins!
