Because it didn't make sense. Everything else in ME3 made sense. That didn't, so they cut it.
This is the fanbase? Really?
I'm quiting gaming and putting all my money into guns, ammo, and range time because society is almost at an end.
What?
I can't comment on that statement specifically but I do sort of understand the sentiment.
On this site I've seen a lot of great things discussed in great ways but then there are other things that "scare" me.
People have written:
Dictatorships are good
Freedom and/or free will is bad
There are no heroes
The endings weren't original because no one can create anything original anymore (meaning I guess that everything that can be imagined has already been imagined so we're all done with our imaginarium)
Just living is worth anything, any price.
The idea that Ashley's converstation with Shepard made no sense isn't as bad as some of these others, but it made complete sense and the idea of her NOT asking about it is what makes no sense. It's in her character and she so would have asked about it and it was done really well, in a manner that shouldn't have offended anyone. The reality was they touched on religion in a lot of other ways in this game and having her as the de facto religious human was ok as well. It was supposed to be an RPG, so you don't have to be religious or atheistic either to understand that there are some that are.
I'm more directing this tirade against the devs and not you, IllusiveManJr. Mostly I think they cut it because they cut Ashley's role just as they cut out other things and left Javik in DLC. But the scene was well done and completely in line with her character.
