To abuse cain mine spam you need to burn some thermals. Who would burn through thermal clips for a silver game?

Silver Rio, the guy didn't need to Thermal Clip to spam a lot. Even in middle, he managed to get nades back. Fortunately for him no one else was using nade powers.

I guess Cain Trip Mines is just a matter of opportunity. "You're lucky if no one else engaged that mob group"
Then he gets all the kills for shooting 3-4 CTMs.

I like to see at the bottom right of the screen this:

playername [Weapon] Geth Pyro
2 seconds later
playername [Weapon] Geth Pyro
3 seconds later
playername [Melee] Geth Pyro

instead of

playername [Cain Mine Trip] Geth Pyro
playername [Cain Mine Trip] Geth Pyro
playername [Cain Mine Trip] Geth Pyro
3 seconds later
playername [Cain Mine Trip] Geth Rocket Trooper
playername [Cain Mine Trip] Geth Rocket Trooper
playername [Cain Mine Trip] Geth Rocket Trooper

On Silver you will see pretty much the exact same thing with almost any other grenade user.
If you have a problem with how someone plays then find a different lobby, who are you to dictate how someone else should choose to play the game? (provided it is within the rules of the game, eg, missile glitching)

I'm sorry Cain Mines was one thing, but complaining about Siege Pulse as well?
This sounds like nothing more than "stop using your powers, you're stealing all my kills!" <_<

Yeah Siege Pulse should be nerfed too but I won't say more.

I've seen some Juggies, spam silvers by camping, standing still, and killing everything in the distance in 2-3 shots. No skill, no fun.

I have nothing against all powers. Just these 2.

In my opinion, playing a Juggernaut at level 20, on silver, is kinda just of a selfish play "I can kill all the things, even if my teamates go down, I'll just keep up killing everything on my own." Keep them 33ks coming in.

Reckoning is great Kits. But given to players that are 1 month in multiplayer, this stuff happens. (Speaking about Talon Eng., Geth Juggernaut, Alliance Infiltration Unit)

Hopefully they'll get bored and check the other kits.

No. Other grenades have roles. Shield oriented, Barrier focused, Armor effectivness.

Cain Trip Mine are like all grenades combined too tear out everything, twice the damage and you have twice the quantity.

If a nerfer cries in the woods and there are no developers around to hear

"Roles" or not the result will be the same. Arc/Inferno/Lift/Cluster all have the potential to easily wipe spawns.

If you still disagree here is an example, choose QMI with cloak specced for damage and maxed out Arc Grenade, start a Silver game. Cloak then throw two grenades into the 1st spawn. After that try and tell me grenades have a "role".

This topic is curious.... Talon Merc has the survivability of a Volus without shield boost. Unless you take a cyclonic modulator, which will prevent you from taking a powe amp and max power damage, he dies with a single shot from an Atlas on Gold.

Nerf Cain mine and he won't even be fun to play....

Yeah right, your talking about Husk spawn.

Count how many nades you have left trying to kill 2 Brutes with Arc Nades.

It's not the same. The mechanics and base dmg doesn't compare.

You just played 15 games with him and you're that protective for him ?

You must enjoy yourself spamming those Mines then.

Reply-er please.

It's somewhat annoying. Especially on a small map like Glacier where they can easily kill off the entire spawn.

Yes, lets buff the most powerfull grenade even more.

Also, no.

Just do the change you suggested, after setting more than 3 mines on the field the others just fade.

Sticky does 6550.5 and that is without AP ammo IV.

But you are right, Inferno is capable of doing 9166,48 damage against armour.

Shield regenerates by themselves. Volus' HP is ridiculous. Having 700/825 HP gives you an edge. You die in 2-4 hits instead of 1 Marauder's elbow then "Breather damaged" *see corpse rolling down stairs.

And during this whole thread, many disagree with nerfing. I'm on their side now. We're talking about a modification on how they work.

They work like Proximity Mines. And the best way to stop the spam movement is to disable the 1st mine to set off when you cast the fourth and only implement a condition where damage applies when enemy step on, or passes laser detector.

So it will own his name "Cain Trip Mine" instead of just cast, cast, cast then (4k dmg 7 meter radius), (4k dmg 7 meter radius), (4k dmg 7 meter radius), (4k dmg 7 meter radius), (4k dmg 7 meter radius) etc.

On an Infiltrator. Without TC boost how much it does? Plus its tiny aoe.

Inferno does more than 5k. Like around 7k to 8k to armor when properly specced.

Put on Mental Focuser, TC, PM V on SMG and take power passives. Take all damage and AP damage. Also it will do more damage if on HI w/ Javelin and if you use AP IV Ammo.
