You have a good heart Max65, but you need more experience out there in the battle zone.
Your points are true. But the survivability of a Talon Engineer is amazing if the other teamates are around and it's shared aggro. No cloakers too helps.
The worst map for him would be Glacier. All the rest he have a nice range for Bow and Mine action.
About the Juggernaut it depends on the player's personality yeah. He can be a camper/farmer, Or a slowly walking buddy that strikes the spawns from mid range in gang.
Well yes, his survibability is great with the rest of the team distributing the aggro (and yes, no TC = no aggro dump on you either) but the same can be said for any other class and you still need to stick close to the rest of the team and you still need to work as a group and need awareness, otherwise you'll just switch the spawn to a location behind you.
You have a good point, I've played the talon a lot of times on plat and have gone down only once or twice and that was glacier, heck I've even played him on condor with a good team, even when the ammo boxes made it a nightmare and if you want a good team synergy bringing a power boosting/ grenade count specced demolisher into play.
I was just trying to say some of the things that are there to offset the damage he can dish out and to point out that you can't just run around the map like a madman with no consideration to safety or any sort of strategy, you still need to be a "team player" in a way otherwise your team can just move off and laugh as you die under enemy fire once you run out of mines.
Thank you for taking the time to read a long post and to reply to it in a thoughtful manner.
On a fun note. are you aware that someone solo'ed a Platinum with this guy, using Fitness rank 0 and he run around quickly with Speed boost III ?
Dx
Are you also aware that someone soloed plat with everything in this game?
So survivability and player skill go hand in hand. It is something not worth mentioning with basic characters.
