Hosting might make a difference, my connection doesn't allow me to (it's night-unplayable for everyone for me.). When I use the Adas, the homing tends to screw up and it results in shots bypassing a target even with the crosshair centered on it.Our experiences with the adas differ.
If it is really the case, well, irony's on me because I never experienced the Falcon's dud syndrom.
Concerning the QME, this kit doesn't care about cooldowns so the Adas is fine, the QFE which the original poster refered to is different.
maybe its hosting then? If you watch the projectile it can actually curve a bit around cover-- similar to the proxy fuse of the ol krysae. I didnt try it on the QFE so I cant comment on CD gimping. I just have to speak up and defend the adas because the gun gets a lotta hate. The RoF and clip size allows me staggerlock almost anything in the game. Any power based kit with moderate CD concerns can get great mileage out of it.
I aim it like the krysae. Not directly at the target but maybe a little off. If you shoot it by a mook in cover you can often pop them out.

If it makes you feel any better I really messed up my first playthrough, accidently picked synthesis also derp! That's what you get for playing it non-stop into the early hours of the morn, lack of sleep and not paying attention to what starbrat was saying.Replayed it the next day and destroy is the only way IMO!
A friend of mine did a similar thing whilst tired, unkowing Kadien turns gay for Shep and accidentally locking in... when he finally realised what had happened - his reaction was priceless xD
Agree 100%
Your friend sounds pretty oblivious to obvious flirting eh!

I wonder that, too.
Not that I didn't feel bad about it...

(I did briefly romance Kaiden, until we picked up Liara. Then I dropped him like a hot rock.)
I actually got a kick out of the conversations with Ashley in the basement of the Normandy.
I thought it was pretty interesting that they included a character who was kinda racist, (Should it be speciesist?) and that you could talk her into being more open-minded, if you went the Paragon route. that was pretty cool, and turned out to be foreshadowing of Shephard's ultimate role in the trilogy, overcoming prejudice to unite the galaxy (assuming Paragon choices.)

EDIT: regarding KaidAn and not his evil twin:
er, I do
(disclaimer - met Raphael Sbarge this weekend, he is awesome and lovely, but is quite clueless about Mass Effect, which is very amusing)
QFE all the way - always been my favorite since the demo. QMI does one hell of a lot of damage, but I hate grenades / lack thereof
