Would this have made sense if we got it in multiplayer??

The amount of war assets that we can gain in the campaign is crazy. Would it not make sense if we could get at least a few or them as playable characters in multiplayer?? I mean if multiplayer lets you promote characters to become war assets why not use war assets from campaign in multiplayer. Think about it, vorcha engineer's with Riddick goggles making the disabling devices fo faster as it's an engineer or the Grissom Academy students appear with barrier support actually using defensive barriers to protect the rest of the team or defend someone disabling devices. Also Blue Suns, Eclipse and Blood Pack mercs since we get them easily. No customisation for the mercs as it wouldn't make sense to change the colour of a blue sun and make it pink.

Or even old squadmates like Jack, Samara and Zaeed funning about shootin stuff. I mean if they're a war assets why can't we physically use them.

 I don't really think so. 

Even if it did, they'd be overpowered or nerfed into near uselessness.

I like the idea, and this thought occurred to me as well.

MP missions could easily be based on the War Assets. While we're playing SP as Shep and Co., we do not hear anything about the behind the scenes missions. I would love to have see missions based on, for example: Asari Commandos, Salarian STG, Krogan Blood Pack, various Mercs, Alliance, Batarians etc—sent on various missions. There is a ton of potential wrapped up in the war assets that could result is soooo much fun for MP players.

Sounds great, I hope we'll get something like that in ME4.

The SP also focus on how Shepard build relationship with his comrades. It won`t make much sense to bring a N7 character from MP just to fight next to him without any interaction.

Edit: OOps. Sorry misunderstood contents of OP. I guess that sounds good.
If next MP is also based on Reaper War, there maybe bit more items we can use for the in-game.

I like the idea but I see it overcomplicating multiplayer. Better to have gear equipment available instead to do the things you suggest, e.g. do objectives quicker.

EDIT: Moot point since support has been pulled from multiplayer.

I mean physically using the war assets as playable characters. Like someone is running about as Jack using a barrier and grunt piucking up ravagers...not that we would get that part anyway unless it's his melee.

well because the game got pushed out before mp and war-assets were finished would be the main reason, and is now to late to add unless a massive update to game was done

Lore-wise those assets are helping out with the Reaper war. The N7 Spec Ops team (Multiplayer) I don't think is helping out in the same way if you know what I mean.
