So, I've finished my first run through, and now I want to comment a few things.
First of allPosted Image, - the game was an awesome experience. A great achievement by all involved.
1: DA lends it well to make very beautiful screenshots. But it would be even better, if the red and yellow circles could be hidden, just as the GUI. Frankly, I'd also want to be able to hide magic auras and effects. As a final touch, I'd like to have a little more camera freedom during pause.
2: The ending area of the palace hall works enough as a provisional cooldown, something many earlier Bioware games lacked. -Thankyou! However, I'm still not very impressed in this regard.
On the other hand, personally, I didn't, and I don't want any "epilogues". Developers have always been so keen to claim "The story has an end, so the game ends there too". Then let it. Don't tie down your own and our choices for any following games or expansions.
3: Wade's drake skin armor was so awesome that my female city elf had to wear it for a very large part of the game. Unfortunately. Because light female armor doesn't look good at all, and it spoils every screenshot. That very open and low neckline looks very vulnurable, and a bit silly as well.
4: The dialogue choices are often hard to navigate. I somehow suppose they are supposed to be hard, but sometimes they seem even a bit unfair. Is a line supposed to be a joke or an insult, for example? I still don't see why it's so unreasonable to let the font and/or color indicate the mood of the response.
5: I think my elf has too heavy breasts.
That's all.
And FinallyPosted Image, - the game was an awesome experience. A great achievement by all involved.
(...Just remind David about that literary greatness is not the same as tragedy, ...now and then.Posted Image)

many mods out there to "adjust" body shapes. I use one that makes the girls more "petite" myself.

I have to admit, I am a guy and I think breasts are fan-freakin-tastic. That being said, I agree with the OP that the elven females often look almost comical with their silicone-inspired 'chest armour'.

You can turn off the GUI by pressing "V" on the PC. Have no idea if this feature is available on console versions.

As a female, I saw nothing wrong with them at all. Gee if it doesn't brother this old lady it really shouldn't brother the rest of you. (for those who don't know me, I'm a 62 year old grandmother)

Yes, it looks really terrible.

So, I either get their STR up so they can wear the splint or heavy chain style armors (and you can use STR boosting items to help with this, and then de-equip them afterwards), or I give them the Dalish armor, as it has a different shoulder/neckline than the other light armors.

Agreed. I would much rather have realistic looking females than having them all look like they have implants. The elven women also look quite anorexic, which makes the huge breasts look even more absurd.

I just think they looked kind of oversized for the elven frame.   Much like the hands looked oversized for anything that isn't an 800lb gorilla.

I know. I meant it to read: "it would be nice if the red and yellow circles could be hidden, just as the GUI" can be hidden by pressing "V".

That would have been a good vanila option.    The second best thing you can do is go get Circles Be Gone! for all of your circle-going-awayness needs.  Easily my favrite mod fr being simpe and unobtrusiv without altering game mechanics in any way.

LOL.  But you need those hands to properly grasp the bottles, mugs, weapon hilts, etc. in the DA world.  Posted Image

There are mods to hide both the circles and the annoying auras, all of which can be found on this site. Go to projects and check 'em out!

Assuming you have the PC version.

Oh, forgot, and just one more thing:

6: As fun as this game is, my feeling is that it would have been significantly more fun if the party had been five persons instead of just four.

I'd go one further and say six.  Since after all it's supposed to be a spiritual successor to the Infinity Engine games, no? :o

Though I'd have been content with being able to have "forced" companions (no spoilers here, but those who've played through know who, when, and where) join the party without usurping an existing companion's slot.  I know some people are quite content to shuffle people in and out of the party as best fits the situation, but I like to assemble my "concept core" and stubbornly stick to it.

Yes. My preference too. I feel like you grow more closer to your party members that way, Seems more right. I played the whole game with Alistair, Morrigan and Sten. (No rogue). Only briefly replaced Morrigan with Wynne for you know what, and Sten with Ohgren on that Branka affair.
