Only if my PS3 breaks and if DA2 has all its DLC on disc.
Would you re-buy DA and DA2 on PS4 if given the opportunity?

Nah, I can't romance Alistair with a PS4 version. I played both game several times already. I don't think I would pay extra money just to replay a game on a different system.

I'm not getting a PS4 but I generally don't rebuy a game.

You would think it would be straightforward to transfer some kind of 'game world state' file between platforms, in this modern internet age...

No. I'll be too busy playing Fallout 4.

I do plan to buy a ps4, and if this did come up, I would buy it

I plan to have my gaming PC fixed and upgraded so nope, but I will still buy a PS4 along with some PS3 titles upgraded for the next one. But the DA series seems like more fun on the PC.

I would not buy any re-release of any older game on a new console. Unless it was at a huge price discount, included all DLC and had a heck of a layer of polish. And even then, it wouldn't be a guarantee.
I'm sure a much more logical, rational solution to the import problem is just to have a checklist that the player would fill out prior to the start of DA3 or any new game, rather than having to worry about transferring their file over.

No I wouldn't rebuy it for the 720 or whatever the new Xbox is called. I'm just going to keep my 360. I wouldn't pay twice for the same game, graphical updates or not.
If they do release older titles on next gen systems, current owners should definitely have a way of downloading the games on their new machines, like Steam does when I upgrade my PC (with digital titles they could just check the license, for physical copies the proof of purchase would be a suitable alternative). That's a pipe dream of course, there's no money for Microsoft in supporting that type of service.

DA Origins, in a heartbeat. I still play it frequently. DA2, forget it unless it was an entirely new game.

It depends if i am selling my PS3 or not. If i am selling my PS3 i will buy DA:O since it still gives me hours upon hours of entertainment. And since i probably won't buy DA3, since the new direction isn't interesting to me, i won't be buying DA2 either. This because i don't find DA2 very entertaining, from a roleplaying perspective, and don't need a save to import into a sequel.

There are games that I would buy twice, (I have DA:O for the Xbox and PC both) but DA2 would not be one of them.

Honestly no, because I simply can't afford it.

No.
I played DA:O on the PS3 first...then I played in on the PC.
I could NEVER play DA:O on anything other than the PC. The mods make the game 10x better.

Given the whole "no backwards compatibility" issues, I may have to if 3 is not on the 360 to get the import choices.
Or whenever 4 comes out as there's no way that won't be on last gen games.
Or if I move from the Xbox to the PS next gen.

Skyrim was the death nail in the Playstation coffin for me I brought the game on the console and it never woked properly. So I brought the game for my PC and enjoyed it so much more that I re-brought DA2 on PC and shelved my PS2 and have never looked back.I only ever play games on PC now.
My one gripe is Origin Cloud it doesn't allow you to have multiple play-throughs without throwing its toys out of the pram.

It's a shame that there will be no backwards compatibility for the PS4. I have an Xbox 360, and one of the things I love is that I can still play a good selection of old Xbox games on it (such as KOTOR).
I have played the DA games on my Xbox. However, much as I love my console, I have since played DAO on the PC and I have to admit that I am now converted (mods are such great things).
So the answer is yes, but for the PC.

Hmm... 1080p/60fps Skyrim with all DLC and official texture packs? That is tempting.Fast Jimmy wrote...
