 So I decided to reinstall NWN2 on my PC. I have the GOG version now and after installation I went to start up the game and it hangs on startup with a black screen and the following message.

"Unable to detect a video card with hardware 3D acceleration"

After clicking OK the next message tells me that hardware 3D acceleration seems to be disabled and that I should enable it. This is strange as my card otherwise functions normally in other games and I have tried the usual fixes - reinstalling my video drivers, installing DirectX 9.0c, visual basic updates, net framework updates. Sadly none of this has made any difference.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I would love to be able to play again.

My card is an Nvidia GTX 295 and my OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
