Why not pixel "nude" models rather than force them to dress in underwear?

In that case we could benefit from some Japanese wisdom in that department.

I'd rather they don't have sex scenes if they're just going to half-culo it and have the participants wearing their small clothes(or their full attires) during the scenes in question.

Then again, Bioware doesn't really do sex scenes. The scenes they do are typically what happens before sex takes place.

I still maintain ME1 was the best way of it. Whoever worked on the camera cuts and the lighting did such a great job.

After that though, they all just seemed lackluster and a little lazy.

I'm not asking for Witcher 2 in-the-act full nudity scenes.

Just make the scenes believable, or leave them out entirely.

If we're gonna call them sex scenes, maybe it should seem like sex is really about to happen.

Typically clothes come off in that case. Just sayin.

Indeed. Dragon Age needs more tentacles.

I think they should just stick to "fade to black"

Underwear, pixiliation, nothing's going to satisfy everyone, so just leave it to the imagination.

I know right? Broodmother is my waifu!

But my main point is:

Real Nudity = Good (If tasteful)

Dryhumping = Bad

If you're going down the dryhumping route just don't bother, because then (at least IMO) it's a stain on an otherwise perfect game DA:O, I'd prefer fade to black honestly or TW2 style or ME1.

I have to say it's one thing the Bible referenced well, the only reason people cover themselves unnecessarily (This is emphasised by the media too) is because they are ashamed, (Which Ironically was taken to mean the opposite for sone reason.) time to let go of that fear and the ridiculous social stigma that we should be ashamed of our true naked appearance.

No more dry-humping please.

I have looked into the future, and I have seen a BSN where forumites argue about things like sliders for nipple size and body hair thickness.

This isn't a joke. Image IPB You know this is the inevitable conclusion of a world where Dragon Age has nudity.

The Witcher featured nudity in pictures, why can't Dragon Age 3 feature pixellation, or even topless nudity? Either way, there'll always be mods for it, it's not like Bioware's stopping it.

yeah, I agree. just the way they edited it. the pace of the editing matched the moment. a few close up shots of the characters embracing---like a hand wrapping around their waist. even fully clothed at the beginning, it was far more....sensual.

And I think that had to do w/camera angle and pacing of the moment.

and the music.

That would involve foresight, and no such thing exists in the mentioned parties.

In all seriousness, i feel ME1 did the romance tastefully, ME2's fade to black method worked somewhat but it wasnt as effective..However DA2's seemed somewhat cartooney'ly comical in the sense that is was quite literally dry humping, it seemed pretty out of place :/ Me1 i had to say was the best at handling the topic :)

ME1 did show they could do tasteful sex scenes though.  And if I recall it was only Fox News and the likes of Jack Thompson and a senator or two went on a crusade against ME1 because of it.

Even if Bioware didn't chicken out of doing tasteful sex scenes in future games, they still would've won because the game is rated for adults and so if a child got ahold of it then it was the fault of the parents for buying the game for their kid, or the retailer for selling a child an 'M' rated game.

Actually, Jack Thompson was on Bioware's side, saying that he saw nothing wrong with the scenes and that people were crazy for making a big deal out of it.

So ladies bending over to pick up change in a busy shopping centre would lead to all sorts of problems then when you bump into them. I'm happy that the bible remains a foundation of modern society. Although that could lead to problems for the male kitchen staff. I'm sure there'd have to be some sort of new kitchen insurance for a hazardous workplace.

Not to mention hightened awareness of genital herpes. "Say no, to sharing your seat"

I agree that nudity is a ridiculous thing to be so horrified over, it can definately be done in taste. I think if you keep nudity for the love scenes then you get exactly what you asked for, you pursue a romantic relationship, nudity is a page in that book eventually. I understand too that this is a fictional fantasy and people want the "anime" effect.

A good example I think was the Miranda love scene in ME2, it was tasteful, not too racy, and held a mature tone. I think Dragon Age personally should have a "fade to black" aspect to it. Dragon Age is not on the adult level as Witcher. The Witcher is raw, dark romance, while Dragon Age is more of the teenage love story. But I don't care what age you are... if you take humping romantically in underwear seriously, then they should just cut the whole thing out.

The love scenes in ME1 were spot-on with how it should be done. Sensual, artistic, tasteful. Only reason Bioware won't do it again is because a few hyper-conservative parents got really pissed off over them showing just a few inches of the side of one of Liara's ******.

Why have censorship at all for an M rated game, ( becouse they still market it to 14 year olds i know ) however if its meant for adults then there is no good reason to censor it at all, if parents let their kids play it any ways its not the games company's fault-its the parents for being lazy. And if you are an adult and cannot handle a wee bit of sexual dealings in a game then you need to go back to farmville, this is not the game for you.
