Why not pixel "nude" models rather than force them to dress in underwear?

Why the hell does it matter? Play the game, enjoy the story, kill monsters and loot items. Is it really that important to see them "naked"?

Adding to realistic elements wouldn't kill us, I think.

The game doesn't need it.

I politely disagree. BioWare has a lot of realistic stuff that are appealing to me, like some relations between the characters and the little details in the graphics, backgrounds, sound effects. Realism is as important to me as the elements of disbelief.

I like when they do things like the original ME or Liara's scene from ME3.

Both were tastefully done in my opinion.

We're not talking about an ending where we have to headcannon. It's sex. Fade to black and imagine the rest. There's no need for a game to sink that level. They kiss, they start undressing, fade to black. It's not rocket science where the hero puts his fireman in the vomans vagoo.

The after sex talk is more important than seeing them have sex, since you the player has taken the next step. What happens now, is it going to be serious and so on.

I agree on the last part of your answer, but for the first part I still dsagree at some points. There's no need for a game to sink to that level, obviously, but what I was saying would be that it would be fun to see alternatives of characters "doing it" without ever going to the tasteless level. Having them under the blankets or whatever, not seeing the underwears or the boobs clearly because of some items covering them... Just want to be impressed with the romance parts of the stories, that is all I mean to say.

Maybe since EA is getting a new top man they, (and Bioware) can get a little more 21st century and drop the Victorian attitude regarding sex scenes. I really don't care either way, but if they are going to do a love scene, at least do it (tastefully) right.

*shakes my head* a freaking sex scene doesn't make a good game.

Obviously it doesn't make a game, but it adds to the game. It's optional, if the hat doesn't fit your head, move along please and stop being so dramatic about it. Sheesh...

The way some of the posts read here, you'd think that with no "mature" sex scene the game is incomplete or something.

I see what you mean, it's not essential, it adds to games. We're speaking of something optional. I simply couldn't understand why you were being so passionate about it. You got me confused.

It IS incomplete.

If they are putting love scenes, and gender preferences in the game, why not at least make the love scenes more realistic without going into full nudity? It would just take a little creativeness to realize people don't have sex wearing a knife, boots, and all their clothes.

How hard would it be to have the love/sex scenes under the blankets, with maybe just bare shoulders visible? As I said earlier, I'm more offended by a fumbling, embarrasing love scene, than I'd be at having none at all.

If you're out in the wilds like in DAO surrounded by enemies, then it makes sense to bang your love interest with clothes on. Just pull down the pants a bit and have a quickie behind a tree or something.

I don't think you'll be doing it in the wild in DA:I. It will be more akin to Shepard's love scenes on the Normandy.

Well, based on what mages had to do in the circle, I could see how the happy/nonwhiny Anders from Awakenings would support this just due to the practicalness of the situation, so to speak.

I believe a sizeable portion of the fanbase is use to tastefully done sex scenes and eants them in the game and will be disappointed if they aren't present. It's a big challenge for bioware to satisfy these fans without being too graphic and stirring up the religious right in the US about the game.

If that portion of the fanbase exist (and I really doubt that there's many of them) then they seem to have issues. It's a videogame, a product of entertainment. You run around kill monsters and learn about interesting people and so on.

wants them shrugs. The scenes inDA2 were pretty bad woefully inadequate, so they need to do a much better job in DAI. I play a lot of rpgs so I can live without sex scenes. But I don't believe the DA fanbase can.

I assume you mean the M25 player. shrugs. It's possible some players object to sex on moral or religious grounds. That is their right. However, since this is a Bioware game you must assume it will be present in some form and if anyone is uncomfortable with that then maybe they should look to play something else.

In DA2 it was more about how they got to bed and aftermath. Really liked that approach. I personally don't care for the middle part... unless they throw some dialog wheels in the process, if you know what I mean. (Bad dirty joke)
