What I meant to say is that too much depends on slowly-advanced levels. If you're a few lower, no skill is going to help you. If you're a few above, no enemy will even damage you...

I am familiar with getting waxed if too low, but have little experience with being too powerful except when purposely taking high lvl toons to low lvl areas. Generally, a few extra lvls were helpful in getting thru those Heroic+2 solo.

Isn't that what the +2 or +4 is for? You need to be your level +2 or +4 to brave it on your own. Though I found that in some cases it wasn't enough.

It seems to mean a party of 4 or 2 accordingly.

As was pointed out, these were designed to be m/p areas, but can be soloed as you noted. Personally, I chose the solo option, though it meant less XP if I went over by too much, and would skip those that were not of interest.

I was thinking of getting back in the game with one of my characters but then I saw this:

http://www.swtor.com/free/features

Some user at the TOR boards put it best, "F2P is a demo of the game."

So you don't want to play because they're not giving you enough free things?

I've always said the F2P option was basically an unlimited free trial, but to be fair an unlimited free trial is still nothing to sneeze at and it's not something everyone offers. Besides which, you still get to do a lot of the things the subscribers do; I was leveling along side my brother (who was F2P) a while a go and we were still playing the same content, most of the things he was missing compared to me were quality-of-life improvements.

When you get to max level, there's not much use staying F2P unless you just want to reroll for the class stories, but by then you've already gotten a massive amount of content for free anyway, just give 'em some money.

I don't want to play because even if I had all those things I'm still not sure I'd enjoy myself. The chart made my decision all the more easy.

The restrictions in what is supposed to be a free to play game severely impact the game experience. Its not a matter of 'wanting free stuff'. Its a poor model to move to.
