So I gotta say, I'm crazy bored and wanted to post a quick topic of me complaining about something ME related (I thought I'd be blatant about it). Why is it that in ME3 we got 3 sets (5 if you count the fact that the Phantom armor comes in 3 variations) of Cerberus armor along with 5 Cerberus weapons? Am I the only one bothered by that? Such a thing would be ok with me in ME2 since you are kinda with Cerberus, but in ME3 when they are clearly the enemy and there's no way to even side with them or turn them good or whatever? It just bothers me that the Cerberus-theme gets so much love when Spectre-themed gear and Alliance-themed gear are near nonexistent. In fact, the more I think about it, since ME2 the whole Spectre thing was downplayed like crazy! Which totally sucks cause I find Spectres to be awesome and would've loved to have that title actually mean something throughout the trilogy. Another thing that grinds my gears is that Ajax armor is the coolest looking armor in the game (in my opinion) and its CERBERUS! What I don't get is why they took the time to create a unique texture themed with an enemy faction when they already had a Spectre texture and an N7 texture for the armor. Anywho, that was my little blurb. I would've loved to have some Alliance armor and would've been even more happy with Spectre armor and weapons... Oh what could've been... So what do you guys think on all of this? Oh also, thank you for taking the time to read this!!

Shepard: Guh! I'm NOT WITH CERBERUS ANY MORE. Why won't you believe me?

Got to agree with this one.

I know that some modders made some textures that replace the cerberus logo with Alliance/Spectre symbols.

With a Cerberus robot who previously beat the crap out of her and the guard who claimed Shepard had no contact with them as squadmates... love it.

On the other hand, this standoff taking place when both Garrus and Liara are squadmates is just plain derpy.

I was actually tempted after Mars to put on some Cerberus gear and shoot her at the Citadel Coup just to there would be no doubt.

But on topic, I really wish they had made some Spectre armor, if they can make collector, blood dragon, Inferno, Cerberus, they should have made some Spectre armor and sold it with the weapons in pieces, not a full set.

I really want someone to make a demotivational of that scene. Shepard, EDI, James (in his alternative outfit that looks a bit more like Cerberus). Have Shepard in Kai Leng's armour suit and wielding exclusively Cerberus weaponry...

However, on topic: I agree entirely OP. It actually got to the point where my response to the armours was "Oh, it only comes in Cerberus colours? Not touching that." Can I not even give these suits a paint job?! (And before you suggest modding - I'm on X360)

On a parallel topic - two of the DLCs were Cerberus (counting Brooks and the clone as they originated with Cerberus). We fought Cerberus for about half the game. I thought this war was supposed to be against the Reapers?

This just made me think of how funny the VS confrontation during the Cerberus coup would be if you were wearing Cerberus armor.

I almost think the amonut of Cerberus armor in the game is just leftovers from when the plot could spilt between Alliance and Cerberus

Too much Geth in ME1. Too many mercs in ME2. Every game has had 1 specific type of enemy become that gets old from how much you fight them.

It would be pretty funny to wear Cerberus stuff during the VS confrontation hahaha and yeah they do seem like leftover armor... On another note to some people here, but I had no problem fighting with Cerebrum, that was fine. I just hate how Shepard, the Alliance N7 Spectre hero is given Cerberus gear!!

You've got to have some kind of human enemy with guns to fight a significant number of times with. Fighting husks for 35 hours straight is boring.

That, and I must admit that it worked a bit for me in the story as well. Not only was Cerberus weakening humanity from within, I also knew that every Cerberus soldier I killed could have fought the Reapers instead.

TBH, I felt like there was "Too Much Cerberus" beginning about halfway through Mass Effect 2. When it became apparent that the game doesn't incorporate a "give the Illusive Man a middle finger, steal ship" option. Right around the end of the Collector Ship mission would have been ideal. I would really have gotten behind that.

In terms of their armor and weapons...Eh. You can wear stuff manufactured by Geth in the first game. They have access to a lot of advanced technology, so why not? Yeah, flying their colors is tacky, but still.

Personally, I like the armor customization idea the best, but more the way it is in ME2 than in ME3. I'd really much prefer, in general, if shields and armor plates and ammo packs were actually discrete components, such that you upgrade your shield by buying the right shield parts and installing them. Like, I really like the idea floated in one of the upgrades in the first game, to have a Virtual Intelligence monitor your shield strength in real time. Or some of the research upgrades offer things like multiple redundant shield "cores." And the brands offering different bonuses, like resistance to fire/ice/biotics, or plain thicker armor plates, or reductions in your cooldown timers, that's good. What I'd like to see particularly, re: DLC armors, is a base armor system to which customizable parts can be mounted. And never an always-on helmet again.

First, Mass Effect games are story-driven, not sandbox. You can't expect the game to let you do everything.

Second, doing what you suggest in the middle of ME2 would be rather stupid. The Normandy crew is almost exclusivly Cerberus and under constant surveillance, there is no way to just steal the ship. Also, Shepard needs Cerberus ressources to fight the Collectors. You can give TIM your middle finger after you destroyed the Collector base (I don't know if there is such a option when you choose to preserve it, I never did).

I agree, especially about the downplay of Spectres, they seemed to go really quiet after you finally become one.
While I don't actually wear sets, I prefer customising my armour, I would have at least liked some Alliance Armour/Spectre armour, or at least the option of altering the cerberus sets by changing the colours and logo.

Totally disagree...I love shootin' me some Cerberus.

Seriously though...it's a videogame. A certain degree of repetition is in order. Every game I've ever played had the same 3-5 enemies to kill over and over. I feel between Cerberus and the Reaper forces that ME3 delivered pretty well.

The issue I'd like addressed for future games are the way enemies spawn. Play the game through once, have enemies spawn in different locations with differing tactics...sometimes different ones too. The same sort of logic could be applied to the environment...hallways rearrange...doors in different places. Might help keep the combat fresher, longer. Right now I know where and what type of enemies will pop up at every location. It'd be nice if enemies adapted to your tactics as well.

I don't mind Cerberus as an enemy. The Illusive Man makes for a good main antagonist and there's never anything as cringe-worthy as the Collector Ship debacle in ME2.

That said, I like to role-play when choosing weapons and armours and I hate how all the good stuff in the game is Cerberus. I can accept things like the Mattock or Talon which are preferred by but not exclusive to them, but the Ajax, Harrier and Armax Arsenal armours are all really cool and I'd love to get them in Alliance colours.

What irritates me is that N7 skins exist for most of the Cerberus gear, it's just locked in multiplayer. I'd be very happy if there were a slider in the armor selection that let us pick the N7 skin in SP if we wanted it.

In terms of the feasibility of stealing the Normandy, that's basically what happens between ME2 and ME3, regardless. True, the Cerberus crew has more reason to be loyal to Shepard by that point, but even right after the Collector Ship, Jacob and Miranda  (the superiors and probably role models for many of the Cerberus crew) are having misgivings.

It's even better with bright red scars and glowing cybernetic eyes of Cerberus implants. :P

Yeah, I'm kind of surprised the VS would ever back down if EDI was in the squad.  Though, it would be quite amusing if EDI took the shot if they don't.

I couldn't agree more with OP's sentiment. It's probably my biggest gripe with ME3 from an RPG point of view. Mt Shep is Alliance through and through, and wears the Alliance officer uniform as casual wear. It really grates on me that there's no N7 or SPECTRE armours in SP. At least I have the Valkyrie.

My second biggest complaint is that my favourite shotgun weighs a tonne and holds only 2 rounds (fires 2 shots before requiring a new thermal clip). I feel like I may as well have a 20th century double-barrelled shotgun. Sorry for going off-topic OP.

True. Then again, there's something called game engines too. Do you suggest that we make our own versions of ME instead of posting feedback to the developers? Besides, TexMod isn't an option for xbox as far as I'm aware.
